Yes you can search that on the site. I just used a scrub brush and soapy water. But for these personally, I'm not going to clean, it will feel like a real tournament with a little dirt. lol.....And I just exploded. Nice colors (especially for solids). I know I can search for this, but I'm lazy; any recommendations on how to clean these types of chips?

Quick tsp bath followed by a magic eraser scrub with dawn dish soap and a good rinse/towel dry. Add a splash of oil, good to go....And I just exploded. Nice colors (especially for solids). I know I can search for this, but I'm lazy; any recommendations on how to clean these types of chips?
Just FYI she makes this sound fast.. without an ultra sonic cleaner it is very time consuming... we average hand washing a rack/drying/oiling and then wiping them down at the end... about 3 to 4 hours total time per rack! But we do not use the water/oil method we compress oil by hand, hand wash every single chip one at a time! Typically they come out like new and well worh the time spent.. clean minty chips are much less time! That won’t take hours. Unless you’re dealing with chips soiled in irregular ways, a quick soak in tsp and dawn, and a quick brushover with a kitchen scrub brush will have them looking like new. Seriously, like 5 seconds per chip and ten seconds per barrel for the edges.I think my first goal is to just get them not to look gross.
I'm going to be doing an ultrasonic bath myself. I guess it's time to buy one haha.I've compression oiled some of my Royals, but just haven't had the time to do them all. In this case with the Paulsons, I think my first goal is to just get them not to look gross.
I remember getting my first paulson set in the mail. The cincy 500 chip cash set. Cleaned them one by one in my basement while watching Breaking Bad. It was a great day.I'm going to be doing an ultrasonic bath myself. I guess it's time to buy one haha.
HOLY MOLYView attachment 409695
This particular rack took me over 4 hours to clean!! Not including oiling!! Chips were made in 1969 lots of years of hooker juice set in on these!! 100% worth the effort!! Sorry @The Chip Exchange for thread craping! I know you are busy!! Fellow Chipper Ben

Yeah old chips can be much harder and you’ve got to be very careful with hot stamps.View attachment 409695

Phosphorus free TSP substitute. Look for sodium metasilicate.TSP won't mess em up? I've never used the stuff. This is my first used set.

Kylo Renany recommendations on how to clean these types of chips?
Bah-hahahaha - I was close! Yeah, I think my plan is to try soap with an electric toothbrush and see how it looks. Then I'll try one with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Sunnyside-Ph...bstitute+phosphate+free&qid=1582061032&sr=8-1
Don't use Sunnyside. It isn't sodium metasilicate, it's sodium sesquicarbonate, doesn't work nearly as well. Red devil is better.
yes. I can't guarantee that they were only used in one tourney but I believe they only had one WSOP event there. So way less then 30 in my opinion
Gotcha, I'll check out red devil and ensure its metasilicate.
Huge amount of previous threads on cleaning. They are very excellent. Mild oxyclean bath in warm water (not hot!) with any scrub wand, stirred a bit and then scrubbed as necessary. Magic. Lightly soiled chips won’t need a scrub. Just a stir and sit for 5 mins and then rinse and dry. Wear gloves!
Good luck. I don’t clean chips anymore, given the time commitment. Beyond a simple bath and stir. I scrubbed thousands. #mintchipslife
