Curious if a table topper will block the LED lights on the lit up version or am I over thinking it?
We have used standard Barrington size toppers on the ESPN tables before and there is a very small ring of space around the outskirts of the topper but once the lights are are on it actually looks pretty good. I highly recommend a dimmer for anyone with a lighted LED table. The lights are unbearably bright without a dimmer!Curious if a table topper will block the LED lights on the lit up version or am I over thinking it?
Thank you! I'm having trouble deciding between the two, as a secondary table, I might just go with the non-lit version as it'll be used as a travel/mobile table. We have used standard Barrington size toppers on the ESPN tables before and there is a very small ring of space around the outskirts of the topper but once the lights are are on it actually looks pretty good. If you are looking for a travel table, go with the classic and save the extra money towards a storage bag for it.Thank you! I'm having trouble deciding between the two, as a secondary table, I might just go with the non-lit version as it'll be used as a travel/mobile table.
Mine just arrived!
Ordered just before midnight on Wed….which means just a bit over 30 hours from placing order to my door.
Crazy good packaging, box in a box. There’s got to be $150 of cardboard here.
I just set it up and interior ring for topper measurement is 74”x32”, which I believe is 1/2” larger in both width and length from the older version of this table? Will confirm about topper size.
It also has the newer version of the rail.
Yeah mine just arrived as well. Order to door in about 30 hours. They don’t mess around with shipping. According to my order, I placed it Thursday at 12:46 am and it has arrived already today. Nice
I don’t plan on opening the box any time soon, but @Colquhoun confirmed a few posts up the new rail on his delivered today. Can we see a picture? Curious if you can confirm if it has the new padding on the rail...

These are the two main types of bags available for the tables. I own both types. The Global bag is a bit nicer but only fits the classic size tables. The Hengme bag will supposedly fit the LED style of tables and is almost half the price. The quality of the Global bag is not high enough to justify paying $20 more in my opinion. Plus it is way easier to get a classic size table in and out of the Hengme bag by yourself than it is the Global bag. A much larger opening makes it slide in so much easier. You don't need a second person to get it all the way in.Which is the preferred bag for the Barrington? Is it one of these two or something else?

PCFers gonna pcf, but I’ve played on an unaltered barrington and it’s just fine and more than sufficient. Though the cupholders are scary.Damnit, i got slowplayed here. Thought it was $149.00 + tax, but in reality it's $149.00 + tax, + table topper ($125), + new cup holders (IDK price).
Still not a bad price, but forgot I'm a PCFer now, and the additions never end

Dont forget those new cupholders! Everything else is aesthetic; I dont hate the felt or the rail or anything but the cupholders are tiny and very shallow. Easily spilled pint and cant fit a rocks glass, just useless.Damnit, i got slowplayed here. Yeah, I was a little surprised that the felt wasnt too bad, considering the comments here. I get a topper would be best, but the felt seems ok.PCFers gonna pcf, but I’ve played on an unaltered barrington and it’s just fine and more than sufficient. Though the cupholders are scary.
That was my concern, though...longevity.A friend of mine has had one for about year. The playing surface was fine when he got it, but after awhile it’s starting to pull up and has a bunch of slack in it. I got him a topper and it is so much better.

Agree on the cupholders...they seem nothing but for show.
I think the padding under the felt and possibly the way the felt is attached is better on the newer tables than the old versions. The padding feels more like a memory foam on the newer ESPN tables than the old padding on the classic Barringtons our group has. We put toppers over top of it anyways so it doesn't really matter much in the end but I still think that the foam and felt have been slightly improved from older versions.Yeah, I was a little surprised that the felt wasnt too bad, considering the comments here. You and me both, bud. I had strong will power yesterday, but that Friday check hit the balanceUgh, darn this sale for still being around. I had willpower to stay away yesterday but I just pulled the trigger...
Do i have space for a second table? Of course not.
