Hey guys, I was playing in a room in Pennsylvania where they were raking over five dollars a hand and automatically taking tokes from the pot and and we’re dropping them in their box.

What’s the percentages?
What’s the standard for rooms who are auto pulling tips from the pot and what’s the rules on Pennsylvania’s for Max rake for hand?

It felt weird, not tipping the dealer, but I don’t like tips being pulled out of the pot automatically.

And what happened to 1/2 no limit and why did it go to 1/3 no limit which plays like a 2/5 game or sometime a 5/10 with max buy 75% of high chip man. I just wanna go to the poker room and enjoy some poker not have to bring three grand with me to play a few hours if I have a few bad run outs.

I play in a game $1-$2 bring it for $5 plo. Max rake $20. A lot of credit is out there on the hosts liability and it plays big. Dealers get 25% of the rake. No tips.

It’s kinda like prepaying the dealers tip from the bomb pot or a time pot etc. which is very common in bigger games at casinos.

FWIW $1-$2 games the biggest winner without a doubt is the dealer lol

Was this a regulated game or some private/home game? I've never heard of anybody pulling tips off the table like that.

FWIW, at Encore Boston, they rake 10% up to $10, plus a dollar or two for promotions. So at a $1/3 table, it's very bad. I think it might be the worst rake in the country.

CA casinos pulling a flat drop of $6 (or even $7 in LA for BBJ) out of any hand that goes to the flop is for sure the worst in the country.

Yeah, I haven't played there, but Bart Hanson is always emphasizing that you can't beat a $1/2 or 3 game with a drop like that and he just advises everybody to go straight to $2/5.

Hollywood casino meadows PA

Worse in the world for sure is Melbourne, Australia. No 1/3, 2/5 min. 10% rake $25, rake taken preflop. No BBJ, promotions, high hand, drinks, service, just a straight kick to the nuts. Oh and you can only play for 3 hours at time, you have to take a 15 min break afterwards.

Plus the 5/10 rarely runs. If it doesn't and I'm at the casino for some reason, you'll be able to find me at the baccarat tables, not the poker tables. Better odds over there.

In Singapore, the only casino lowest cash game running is $5/$10 5% rake capped at $75 where the buyin is stupid at min $300 max $1500

& it get worst in Genting Malaysia, the lowest cash game is $10/$20 with a $5 table ante where rake is 5% up to 150 and buyin is min 1k and max 4k so u get alot of tourney style preflop all in or 6-9 way pot

So yeah it way better to play / host home games around here

I mean...there was a dealer at the Cleveland casino that was doing it...and I watched him get escorted out by sheriffs in cuffs.
