Congrats David! awesome news. Mold sample set ordered
Obviously some colors and edge spots are going to differ.
Put it on hold for a short while. I wouldn't want to commit a lot of costs to something that doesn't work. I have an idea how it could be tested cheaply first (which could be done on any mold). May need someones help out there, I will come back to it.
I would need a sample of 10- 20 of the scrown mold to accurately get a true feel of the mold
I have some sturdy, decades-old cookie cutters around here that might have just the right curve
@kk405 is putting together a CPC sample rack, might make sense to supply him early.

Well, I was aware of marks on some chips, but never knew the reason behind them. Thanks for the information and education. Very informative! It also causes a problem with hotstamping as described below. It's worth noting that the majority of TR King inlays on both molds were 15/16 inch, something that we can't do.
Many of you who have come across freshly made hotstamped small crown chips will be aware that most display 'scratch marks' where excess foil (flashing) was removed with a blade by TRK. It appears this happened because of the slightly concave nature of the chips (we are only talking about 3/1000 inch here, barely detectable without a micrometer, but enough to affect the stamping on our industrial machine), so for now we will not be offering hot stamping. However, for any of you out there with a lighter weight machine, this could be a profitable future project for you.
Great news!!
If I'm not mistaken ( correct me if different), all original large crown chips were originally made for TRK by Burt Co Maine , with the current Burt/CPC formula and process so anyone waiting 55 years for an add on ....... .
Or soft taupe, olive, lighter burgundyVery cool news! Interested to see how these sets turn out.
@David Spragg - please consider adding an iridescent yellow color next
Amazing news David! This is certainly a game changer. Do you know what this makes you? A dream maker. The only thing better than a dream maker is a chip maker and you're already one. Samples ordered, looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
I'm still sending inquiries I receive from the TR King site to CPC but now there's more to it. There are lots of people looking to add on to their existing sets and soon they can. Also, I still have BCC traffic being forwarded to CPC. When things settle down we should get a paragraph or two for the TRK site with this great news.
David and the first ten posters to this thread please send me your address, I have something I want to send you next week.

I cannot like the OP enough times with this software.
The correct answer is keep the TRKs you have and build your set.I’m still processing this. If you would ask any of us if we had a time machine what chips would we get and I’m sure a vast majority would have gotten custom TRK scrowns
I had already started piecing together a TRK Scrown set that I was going to have Gear mill and custom label. But hearing this news and I’m dumbfounded as to what to do.
Should I unload all the TRKs I’ve collected since most cost more than the customs will? Or do I stick to my plan?

I’ll certainly get a custom CPC scrown set, but if anyone has an interesting rack of spotted TRK scrowns that are a candidate for milling, please let me know.
