Fast forward to 43 minutes. Can someone explain this Run It Twice rule to me? I’m trying to figure out how you buy back the Run It Twice plaque. If you put $100 into the pot, do you have to win that pot to get the plaque back and use it for your second and final time? Is that how it works?

So when they buy in they get a plaque they can throw in to run the board twice. They're all-in, they use their plaque, hand ends.

Once they've already used one, they can buy another for $100. They then can throw it in another instance when they'd like to run it twice. I don't think they get it back when they use it, I think it's consumable.

Wright the knucklehead gives a terrible explanation of how it works. He makes it seem like you just throw $100 into the pot, and depending on how the hand plays out, you might win it back. But I think what actually happens is that when you use the button, it gets handed to the dealer. Then, later on, if you decide to buy it back, you can do so one more time by putting $100 into the pot.

Sounds over complicated lol. We sometimes do it with rabbit hunt chips; get one for free when you first buy-in, and if you're a mook that needs to know what the river was, you can keep paying $1 for another chip after you use your first.

I agree. Not gonna try to introduce it this way to our group. Then again, Wright complicates just about anything he touches or talks about.
