SAVE YOUR MONEY (3 Viewers)

I have ordered white boxes from Warneke. I am lining up some high school kids and a few friends from here for a giant chips sorting, racking and boxing party. Try to crank them out as soon as possible.
I'm not too far away, that sounds like a fun time ;)

What colors are the “third” $1?

I feel like these are going to be $1+ per chip, similar to other sales, which is more than what I'm comfortable spending.

Noob chip question - what would have someone buy $300 worth of these versus $300 of something like Majestics or Royals? Desire? Future value? Quality?

I mean I'm with you. If you're needing a full playable set and these are $1+ a chip then those other options are better for you. But all the reasons you listed are why people would want these.

Are you trying to compare China clay and clay? honestly, there is no comparison.

Also, if you are serious about chipping your best bet is to buy the heck out of this sale while you can direct from The Chip Room. Otherwise you may find yourself regretting it. You can always change your mind and sell the chips for very little risk.

If I understood correctly I think he's meaning if on a strict budget what would be the motivation to get more expensive chips if you're needing a larger more versatile set.

On the bright side, you probably have at least a week or more to do some extensive research to make your decision.

But to answer one of your questions, I wouldn't buy a poker chip set based on perceived future value.

Most important is how it will fit within your game's needs. Cash or tourney? Primary (used) or secondary (minty fresh)? Primary (used) will be cheaper. The fracs will be tough to acquire in volume. $1s and $5s are generally the cheapest. The big denoms of $500 and up will be pricy and likely require an overall very large purchase to buy enough for a playable set.

There's nothing wrong with royals or majestics.

Bottom line, start doing your research before this sale starts.

Everything I have seen priced from Chip Room to this point has been fair. Trying to compare these to Isle's can't tell if they will be higher or lower?

Regardless, to me the most exciting part of this would be the chance to acquire an entire set at once. The percentage limits might mean buying an extra 100 maybe 200 chips, but after being here long enough it's pretty clear that a person wouldn't take a huge loss reselling what they don't need. Just hope an order can be placed fast enough to get some Fracs, lol.

Anyone who has been around, do the "Cash Sets" get listed on the initial sale? Or do those happen afterwards normally?

Mint chips, sure. But all the casino used $1's and $5's and $25's (which he said are in pretty good condition) - based on recent past sales, they will likely be under a buck a chip. And I don't mean 99 cents either.

uality?

Generally speaking Paulsons will maintain their value and china clays will lose 20-50% of their value over time. You really cant go too far wrong buying a playable set from one of these sales.
