Get hype! Looks like it's gonna be a legendary sale!

They also put all of the mutilated chips from the casino in there. Just throw those away. Here are some images of the chips. The secondary might be my favorite of all time.

Don't get rid of the mutilated ones !!! There will most likely be a market for them on here... displaying, story, etc. I would definitely be interested in them!

AGREED... the secondary lineup is just sick !!!

NEVER BUY WHAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD. PERIOD.

Doesn't matter if it's a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity from <insert Vendor name here>". I've been here 2.5 years and there have been at least four "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunities from one vendor alone. Between casino acquisitions, group buys, new vendors, etc., there will always be future opportunities. Play the long game.

If there are really as many chips as we think, then there will be stuff traded back and forth for months and months and years at likely close to cost. And if the price ends up spiking for whatever reason, screw it. If you've got a $300 budget, don't spend $600. If you're willing to purchase and build bits and pieces at a time, rather than a whole playable set all at once, then maybe you can start here.

To all the newbs looking to buy their first set: don't guess at what you need. Figure it out. How many chips, for how many players, for what stakes. Calculate your breakdowns for each denom. There will likely be many different price points for primaries, secondaries, and alternates (tourney, roulette, tertiary $1s, ceramics). Find out how far your budget will spread when Jim announces the prices. Approach this sale like you'd approach any high stakes game. Don't gamble. Play poker.

Thanks, Dad

@TheChipRoom Love the idea of 100 sample sets. How do we get on the list for one of those? Will they be strictly limited to one per person so 100 different members will get a chance at one?

Thanks! My first experience at one of these sales and it's pretty exciting!

wow Jim, what a clusterf... , now I really wish I lived near you. I would love to organize those pretties

Primary vs Secondary choices, what do you guys think ?
