RHC... hmmm.... is it worth sacrificing to buy those just to be able to buy the secondary IHC chips? I'm sure the order form is going come with heavy quota restrictions again. I actually only want the 5K's and 25K's.

I wonder how easy it will be to sell the RHC chips right after the sale ends, given how much quantity there is.

I'm guessing there's going to be quite a few Casino used low end denoms available, both in the sale after the first couple of days as well as in a bunch of user For Sale ads (which are obviously going to have to be a small loss to move).

Could be a great opportunity for folks looking to put together a set on the cheap, or even just a big ol limit set by offering to scoop up everyone's leftover $1s or $5s.

Good news is I'm broke!

OK, here is some preliminary thoughts. I opened all of the barrels. 80% of them have 1 or 2 denominations in them. A couple are just a mess. The primary chips appear to be in good used casino condition. They were only on the tables for 4 years. I completely emptied one barrel with secondary chips, because of course the $1k, $5k and $25k chips were on the bottom. No damage and no flee bites I noticed off hand. I wasn't really worried about damage as the weight dispersion is even. Maybe a little color transfer from rubbing, but nothing noticeable unless you really look. I was very happy to find new primary quarters, $1, $5, $25 and $100s. There are 3 different versions of the $1 chips? Can't figure that out. The barrels with the tournament chips are a total mess. They also put all of the mutilated chips from the casino in there. Just throw those away. Here are some images of the chips. The secondary might be my favorite of all time.
OK yup all I need is a rack of the quarters, yall can fight over the rest.

NEVER BUY WHAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD. PERIOD.

This is true but if you’re already in the market for chips, Jim’s sales are a safe buy. Of the dozens of sales and hundreds of thousands of chips Jim has sold, I can not recall one time where the chips lost any value. If you buy from Jim’s sale you are more than likely to be able to get your money back selling later. Jim’s prices are guaranteed the rock bottom you will ever get them at.

The primary 25K would fit nicely into a Sunset Beach set, I think, given the edgespot similarity.

The metallic silver 5K is really appealing; I wonder how they would clean up.

Samples are generally first come first serve, sounds like hes offering them in advance of the bulk sale. Generally there is a limit of 5 sets per person or household, but pending quantities this amount may vary

I mean more along the lines of will they just pop up here without warning or will there actually be a sale time stated in advance.

@TheChipRoom When's the stuff from Washington coming out?

***Disclaimer***
Before everyone gets all in a tissy, this question is not based on anything other than me thinking all the small cardrooms in WA State couldn't possibly survive this pandemic, combined with my desire to finish a set I have in the works. AFAIK Jim doesn't even have a lead on chips from WA at this time.

Good disclaimer I already saw people running out to buy pitchforks

Here y’all go... A chart of the primaries and secondaries with the base and edge-spot colors posted, based on what has been shown so far, with the perspective on Jim’s photos adjusted and the color corrected (a little). Did my best with the tertiary (?) $1 with what was available. Were its colors identified?

Because, you know, what else do I have to do but... work?

This is what is fascinating to me, and much of what I enjoy, the fact that everyone has different opinions about which are best. Also that people are this jazzed up about RHC when years ago you would be banned for even suggesting such nonsense. :)

(I’m guessing the “tertiary” $1 is White with either Petunia, Orchid or Lilac edgespots.)

I believe Jim already said Plum.

Edit: Wait maybe that was for the secondary. I will try and see if I can find something.

Yes, he said Off White and Plum for the secondary. If he specified the colors on the tertiary/mystery $1, I missed it.

I should have worked on the Maroon color for the $25 primary. It looks almost black in my image. Ditto the Grape in the 1K primary and maybe the Purple $500S. I may post a revision once the $1t colors are ID’d.
