For all the new people out there, DO NOT BELIEVE the above!

Are there an occasional flipper here and there? Sure. They have always been around, it's nothing new. Some have been around for 10 years. However, the absolute great majority of folks around these parts are great people. Many, many of them travel around the US and internationally to play poker together. This is NOT a community of scumbags as some people might want you to believe.
Yeah, i have had absolutely zero bad experiences on here. Everyone has been super cool.

Not "unfortunately" IMO. It is a personal sales thread and people have the right to ask for whatever they want without nosey people chiming in with their "smartest person in the world" 5¢.

It boggles my mind people still think they are (not you, Dave) the guardians of the pricing universe. For every person, and i mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON, there is a different perspective on pricing and value. Why do those people think their OPINION is law?!?!?! GTFO... I digress...
I liked your post because you use digress and I like that word, along with detest.

Also can we argue about old news somewhere else? Can someone post pictures of chips again or something? Anything except drama would be great

So after it was made aware that the high denom chips are not tournament chips but cash chips I've really been trying to figure out how this is going to go.

Assuming we will be seeing the same percentage based purchasing as previously what kind of percentages do you guys think we will see with so many denominations?

@BGinGA do you have any knowledge on this? I'm to assume that although the 25k was mixed into tournaments that the IHC chips were not primarily used for tournament play and there likely wont be quantity enough of them to make "playable sets"

I’d guess something like $5k chips would be a max 5% of your order and $1k chips would be 10%.
Just a guess and no idea how low he could make it for $25k. 2.5%? 1%?

Yeah that's the math I've been looking at lol. There's a lot more denominations in this than more recent sales.

Jim, it’s been next week for 4 days now. We need more info. :)
I am eagerly awaiting pics of the tournament chip options. I really appreciate how quickly Jim has moved on the cash chips and having the option to buy samples is GREAT, so I have held off on posting to ask. But.... tournament chip pics soon please! :wow:

100%. The response was more tongue in cheek than anything.

Has Jim done a sale with Fracs in it?
Ultimately I'd be looking for something in this ball park. You think I can make it happen based on normal % he offers?
120 - 0.25's
300- $1's
200 - $5's
60 - $25
20 - $100's

Yes it’s typical. There were just too few of the Isle fracs I believe to offer them outside of sample sets (though Jim would be able to clarify).

Please be aware that Jim was doing his best to get pics up and the sample set opportunity out to the forum before attending a wedding this week. All in good time.

You're probably not going to be able to get 120x fracs with that small a purchase, they've historically been limited to 5-10% of your order.

I expect strict limits on the fracs and 1k+. Probably in the range of 10/20% for 1ks, 5/10% for 5ks and 5% for 25ks. Fracs I'm not sure, but wouldn't be surprised by 10% or less. Think that's somewhere along the lines he use to do.

As to the high denoms they were cash chips for sure, so there will not be a huge quantity of them.

Totally get it, I also realize Jim isn't sitting on his hands here, and realize the cash chips will be the big seller here, just getting in some representation for the tournament chip set collectors. ;)

5% - 10% fracs? I guess it wont really be possible to put together a .25/.50 cash set without buying 1000 chips?
Can't see how you could play .25/.50 with 8 players with 60 fracs ... :( I as hoping for a 600 chip set.

Given the demand for fracs and other chips in extremely limited qty it's just not feasible to not do a low % while still giving everyone an equal chance.

Once prices and %s are posted there will be a lot of people finalizing their purchases and looking to do a mini-group purchase ( :bag: ) in order to be able to attain the qty of fracs or high denominated chips that they wouldn't otherwise be able to on their own.

Maybe he makes pre made purchasable sets that include x amount of each denom? He generally does this for tournament but havent seen one for cash sets yet. Its usually a percentage based system. It depends on how limited the fracs are, but even then the isle fracs were extremely limited and the percentage system was used

With you here. I am going to try and string something together but the Frac seem to be the hold up for our low stakes games. Although from what I can see here its the hardest thing to come by on all the chips sets, that I see folks have or need.

Fracs are in very limited supply and in high demand. People need to buy 1000 or 2000 chips to get the chance to buy them from Jim's sales, and then have to resell the chips they don't want later on. It's a part of Jim's strategy to give people incentive to also buy the less as sought after denoms, and make sure he isn't stuck with for example 40000 $25 chips that no one wants

Would the approach be to buy a set of 500 chips without the fracs and then just find other fracs to complete a mixed set?
Something like
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$25 x 80
$100 x 20
This or just post your interest in purchasing your original breakdown and asking if anyone else was interested in joining the purchase or have you join their so that you could all benefit from the larger purchase. Of course that means one person buying for a larger group and comes with some trust and reliance on everyone involved.
