Looks like a double-ended lab spatula, or weigh spatula. Often used for precise dispensing of dry chemicals.

I don't even know what it is or remember where I found it. However, it does work incredibly well. Only about one second per label application. Takes longer to pick up the next chip. It is very thin and slips right under the label for a quick pick-up.

Makes no sense. Marriages happen 6-9 times per person in most cases but chips are for a lifetime !

Too flexible for removal. For that you just need an awl, nail polish remover and tweezers.

I looked on amazon and they have sets with all kinds of sizes and shapes that would probably work well for removing labels. I might try them too

Inca had the hookup, "lab spatula". I ordered a 9" one (looked about the size of yours) off eBay for $9 and change.
