Show Us Your Live Stacks (26 Viewers)

I was supposed to play with @utgtrash last night at a home game, but work got in the way and I couldn’t make it. Once I was done with work, the poker itch was real, so I stopped by the 100/200/400 PLO game that plays in the sunset hills, around midnight. I assumed the game would be full, but it’s a lot of action, and I wanted to just watch.

There was an open seat, and I have credit there.

I bought in to match the top stack, $170k.

The hand I’m about to show you is probably the craziest runner-runner I’ve ever hit in my life, and I was so shocked, I didn’t even take pics. But the guy next to me did, so the following pictures are courtesy of him.

I look down at :5c::5d::ac::8c: in middle position and am limped to, but there is a double straddle to $800 at the cut off. I raise to $3000 and get mostly folds, but calls from both the straddle and double straddle.

The flop is :9h::jc::3d:.

Both preflop callers check to me. I decide to C-bet and see what’s what. I bet $9000.

Straddle goes all in for $24k, double straddle (craziest, loosest player I’ve ever encountered, bluffs 50% of the time) repots. Doesn’t realize he usually does this when he has air. I somehow think my pair of $5s is good, and if I repot to put him all in, he most likely will run it twice. He has plenty of money, so the sidepot might be huge and I could be 50/50 on it. So I repot to put him all in.

We all decide to run it twice.

~$80k main pot, $76k side pot.

EDIT: Straddle mucked, but said he had Aces with a Jack, and double straddle showed :qh::jh::4h::3s:.

Live poker is so rigged  :ROFLMAO: Gotta love Omaha. I’d love to know what your opponents have to understand how bad this beat was to them.

love the deck mate setup.

did the other players reveal their hands?

congrats on the crazy run out.

Think about that in terms of 1/2 though. $2 on $40, $3 on $200. I'd kill for that rake.

It's what micro stakes players lose sight of in online poker. 5% max $3 in .25/.50? That's like playing with a $12 cap in 1/2.
Right, and as @Rhodeman77 has explained in other threads the rake is predominately paying for payout security. @Windwalker mentioned having credit in the game and these stakes that’s what the rake is supporting. $100k loans and the collection / payout process that goes along with all that. Well worth it considering the challenge of moving that much hard currency. This isn’t the Bellagio where you can just keep a rack of flags in a lockbox.

I guess I get it just crazy to see the amount in writing, plus this:

@Anthony Martino may accuse you of being Cuban after seeing this hand.
