before 2021 ending, I spent a few days in Budapest, Hungary, and paid a visit to local casino
Major casino's operator in Budapest it's named "Las Vegas Casinos" with 5 joints scattered in Hungarian capital.
The largest, and more crowded, it's in Sofitel Hotel in the very center, next to Danube river: very scenic location.
As usual, I play blackjack. Standard european rules (no hole-card, blackjack pays 3:2, dealer stands on soft 17, no surrender offered) and, sadly, shuffle machine.
I started with 35000 forint cash (less than 100 euro), but I was truly unlucky: lost all in half an hour altough minimum was just 1000 forint. Went to cage asking for chips: they allow credit card withdraw without charging commission. I asked for 40000 forint (about 110 euro), they gave me four 10000-forint plaque to be exchanged at the tables.
It was not the first time I was given plaques from the cage, but the first time for such a low value (10000 forint = 28 euro), usually plaques are worth 100 euro / usd or more.
I went back to table, anyway exchanged only 3 plaques (30000 forint). This time things went much better, I recouped previous losses winning a few forint too!
I cashed out 89000 forint ... and kept the plaque: very first time I "harvested" a plaque
