Still got the @Josh Kifer magic:

A bar tournament that doesn't use dice chips. That is a win right there.
I've made some upgrades...haha. I do it twice a week and drunk people asking how much each chip was worth got old real quick. Should have ordered more of those cards on the group buy, didn't realize how fast I'd wear them down.

BIG Thank you to @Chawks45 and @Pawn38 for hosting me in KC at Hollywood casino. Had a blast and can't wait to come back for the Straddle in July!!!

This is my highest point in the evening. In for $200 and after a couple of early wins I'm up to $365. Was very card dead most of the night. Got down under $100 and added on another hundred. Just couldn't get anything going. Got out kicked on a set of Js and set of Ks. Misplayed a flopped Qs over Ts and won a tiny pot. (I only bet $10!!!) Made a little run at the end when I shoved with AK on a T72 flop. Got one caller and hit A on the turn. Just couldn't keep it going. Last hand I shoved with AQ suited on a similar flop but didn't hit and lost to Js. Went home with nothing but a $1 souvenir chip in my pocket. Still had great time. Thanks guys!

And don't forget you had an opportunity to watch massive table drama when Seat 1 called clock on the player to my immediate left in Seat 5 for taking too long to act on a simple $6 button straddle, then Seat 3 went nuclear with each passing second, threw his cards and the button at the dealer and left. And they were sober! That turned into a rather intense, yet ridiculous, situation! On a straddle! :ROFLMAO::banghead:

That said, glad you had a good time and stopped by KC on your way home. I'm sure I'm speaking for @Pawn38 as well on this - a true pleasure meeting you. Safe travels and we'll see you again in July!

Oh damn! @chipinla should get in this game. He left the drama of Hollywood, but could still find it back home in KC.

Very nice to meet you in person @TX_Golf_N_Poker. I enjoyed chatting with you. Looking forward to the KC Straddle in July.

As this was my first time at Hollywood, not sure how normal of night it was. In addition to the incident @Chawks45 reported, the guy next me turned from talkative & friendly to a low boil to a rolling boil and finally stormed off cursing in huff. A few other tables were filled with boisterous folks acting borderline obnoxious (though friendly), yelling, screaming, high fiving. The only thing going down faster than the drinks was probably their chip stacks.

I really want to go back tonight. :)

I should have come but that sounds like it would have turned into a roulette night for me

For sure, that was wild. Didn't know if stuff like that might be common or not. Also I generally don't let much bother me, especially when I'm not involved or the target, so I had already forgotten about it. I was surprised by how long it took them to do anything about it. I assume if someone refuses to make a decision in a reasonable time, their hand gets folded. He should have given her about 5 more seconds, (after it had already gone on for several minutes) then folded her. Wasn't really right that they basically let her get away with it.

I was actually okay with the fact that the game was pretty casual and more social than I imagined it would be. I like to meet and talk to new people, so it made the night enjoyable for me in spite of losing all my stack. I was afraid it might be all a bunch of players trying to be all serious.

Is it 520ish? Nice run though!
Edit: I am also way short after recounting. Congrats!

I guess I’m math challenged as well. I initially had it at $5600ish because I counted the stacks at $200 so I had to recount

In for 200 out for 2100 playing 1/3. HH: couple limps. middle position bumps it to 20 i 3bet to 75, my left and 2 others calls (action players). 4ways to the flop. I flop top set and it checks to me, I check and last to act bets 150. small blind calls and big blind jams for 425...i jam. flop aggressor folds AQ. Button tanks and calls. He says he has pocket kings and first person to jam had 68 off lol I scoop a 2k pot.
