4 of a Kind
12 left playing 6 handed. Paying the top 6. I did rebuy so need to finish 4th or better to profit.

Ha! Good eye. It's actually a Magic: The Gathering playmat. I was playing backup host, so I had to have SOMETHING to shuffle on without driving myself crazy.a dude cannot abide not seeing the rest of this felt...

Um, the game can't be that secure if they're using generic poker chips that anyone can buy in bulk for 16c/chip.uber secure
I meant secure as in he's very selective about people. It's not just open door but limited invite only. I do appreciate you pointing this out, I recognized the slugs but couldn't remember from where.Um, the game can't be that secure if they're using generic poker chips that anyone can buy in bulk for 16c/chip.

Yes I was actually planning to mention it but didn't want to be that guy just yet. A few more sessions and reaching a level of comfort with the host. I don't like to come off pushy when I showed up once, cashed out 4x my buy-in and then second time come back and asking about custom chips. In all seriousness, I would encourage the host of any such game to strongly consider better chips, for security if nothing else. And I'm not just saying that because I happen to provide a method of customizing chips. A set of ex-casino chips e.g. from the Chip Room (JACK, Horseshoe, Indiana Grand, etc.) if not full-on customs from CPC would be a much more controllable setup.
That's a good point. To be fair, if the game's physical security is good, and the player pool is vetted properly, then the likelihood of someone sneaking chips into the game is admittedly unlikely, and the chips not being unique is less of an issue.Yes I was actually planning to mention it but didn't want to be that guy just yet. Also if anyone should understand the need for room security, it should be the host that is also a dealer at the local card room for his living! That's a good point. It's still a percentage, though, not zero ... desperate people on a losing streak will do desperate things, and if anyone understands that a one-outer isn't the same as 100%, it's poker players
I really like these $5s
bud jones? From earlier today in the MGM tourney I wish I hadn't played. The "poker room" is dark and they use these g dang abominations that I hate so much.
