3rd break: 52k now

I took some beats last round. Sitting at 54.5k at the 4th break. Down to 38ish players left. Jeff Madsen is 2nd in chips with about 100k. Chip leader is at about 110k. Average stack is 56k.

Awww, sounds like not a win, did you cash? Still very impressive.

No, I busted out about 10 spots from the money. I don't play to cash though, I play to win.

HORSE tournies are pretty high variance though. With 37 players left, average stack was 56k and we were playing 5k-10k limit. So if you lose 1 or 2 hands, you're pretty much out.

Went to Vegas Bellagio for work. First time ever at a casino poker table. $1/$3.

Gonna have to get better at playing over high stacks...I hope

I became the bank for the dealer and was coloring up, making change for new players. Coworkers would walk by and gawk. Gotta say, it felt good:

Nice score. Soft game or what? Is there a convention going on? How long is your session?

I'm home now. It was the week of the 11th. Above was actually the second night. My first night, same room, I doubled up in a couple hours. I was actually a bit buzzed when I sat down, had some coffee and food, and fun.

The night above was just nuts. 3 hours I'd guess. I was unbeatable. I can't believe players stayed at the table. I read in other posts that night games are more loose and I'd agree.

A straight gets NO respect. If they think they can draw a better hand, they'll just keep coming. I flopped the high straight, kept betting hard, and finally went all in. Two players call! Nothing yet can beat me. One player hits on the river. I lost a chunk on that one.

Fortunately, most times, it didn't end well for them. In fact, when they chased and hit their hands, my hand improved. More boats than I can count. 4 kings, my first (ever I believe) straight flush. I was in total control from the minute I sat down. After an hour, it just became the joke at the table. I can't imagine I'll ever have that much fun at a casino again.

Tough field. I've played OE with Madsen, he's a beast.

That's what I thiught. I was in the Pocono casino last month. Only glanced at the tables, as I held my breath (due to smoke) and made my way to Ruth's to meet customers. I didn't see chips that looked like that.

I did walk the grounds and noticed their poker room is separate, which is promising. Can't take the smoke:mad:

Very nice! What room was the softest in your opinion, if there was one?

Happy Birthday :)

I actually found the Wynn to have the games with the most action. I think overall the players seemed a bit better, however, there was a lot more money and more players willing to play hands. There were much better spots to make money than at the other rooms, but definitely higher variance.

The ambiance and Aria + Bellagio can't be beat though - if you want to hang out, have leisurely time + have a premium experience, definitely recommend going there.

Also if you play at either of those rooms you can hit up Eggslut for a breakfast sandwich (it's on the second floor of the Cosmopolitan, which is right next door). Highly recommend the Fairfax, add bacon. It will cost you a pretty penny ($13) but it's honestly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. Try it at least once.

Splashed around in some 1/2 NLHE in Toledo on my way home from a trip out of town. Only played for about 2.5 hours, and unfortunately I never got much higher than this. In for $200 and out for $277, I'll take it for a few hours of cards. I also had a few people ask about the Mrs. Links chip.
