Shuffler cut out question. (1 Viewer)

Did you manage to get your shuffler installed in you table...was thinking you may have had some issue with table legs/pedastal in the location you chose. How's everything working so far? Any problems..jamming ect.. Any new pics?

I did get it in the table. it has been great actually. It's been in for like 4-5 months now. As far as jamming, in that time we have had maybe 3 jams. All easily cleared and 2 were dealer error. What mean by that is the cards were not placed directly in the tray, kinda like one card hung on the top. The mechanism is automatic so when you put the deck in, the elevator starts to go down and the door closes, but if you didn't put the cards in correctly in that couple seconds then the top card get hung up. The other time it jammed was because the deck had a bent card and we took that deck out of the rotation after that any how.

I will work on getting pics up.

I’m rethinking of putting my shuffler to the left of the dealer... with the rake slide and chip box underneath it almost has to go to the left of the dealer tray

We have our shuffler to the right, and it sits behind the toke box. I think that is a good place for it because most people are right handed and also since that drop box is an obstruction on that side anyway, no one would be putting their legs under that area. I felt that if we put it on the left it just adds another obstruction on that side. Also we didn't angle the shuffler so it just sits square so you can read the display.

Nice!! I got mine installed over the weekend. I ended up putting mine to the left of the dealer tray. My drop slide and rake box is rather large so if I put it on the right side it would have been sitting way out in the middle of the table. I made a template and placed it where people would not bump there knees on it, the the buttons and display are easy to reach and see. Makes it easy to put in used deck with right hand and then grab shuffled deck afterwards. It’s over far enough toy does not affect the chip piles and flopped cards.

I think that placement looks good. Really I am not sure if there is an actual correct placement for every table situation. As long as the shuffler is within arms reach I think the dealers and players kind of get used to it.

I would say that true and table dependent - I’ve seen in casinos and pictures of them in all places in front of the dealers tray. I know in casinos they don’t like dealers leaning over the dealers tray for security of chips but since ours are home game does bait matter as much...I would of rather had mine on the right but with my table setup it made more sense on the left.

I purchased this poker table a few years ago for $170 open box. It had a small tear on bumper which was easily repaired with packaging tape. Here is a picture from Walmart. Out of stock of course.

I never really covered mine up. I think that you could still do what I initially was thinking about and that is creating a pillar that you can just fasten the drawer front to and that would do the trick.

The table is holding up well and the noise is like a fraction of the shuffle tech noise, you can hear it if you listen put its a much smoother noise vs the click clack of the shuffle tech. But for either machine it kind of just becomes background noise anyhow.

Hi all,

The cart (got it for $20 online off someone) is just about done here. I mounted the shuffletech and it will bea decent little cart. I even managed to preserve the drawer in front of the shuffler. The lower shelf will easily house two 1000 clear birdcage carriers.

*Note: I am not the fondest of the design of th IKEA cabinet but it was cheap and will do. I had delusions of grandeur to speedcloth and pad the top Piece where the shuffler is mounted but decided I could always go back and do this later.

Concerns:
1. Shuffletech st1000 shuffler seems super dirty (I grabbed it from an estate sale a while back for about $300. Any cleaning expertise would be appreciated.

2.“Practice trials” for the shuffler have not gone well (most likely dirty). The jams are far too frequent and the location of the shuffler means a pain in the a$$ to reset or grab the deck if there is a jam during games.

3. Reading up on here about them... is the hastle
Worth it? I mean am I better off selling the thing?

4. poker cards definitely over bridge (dammit! I love bridge cards!)
