So it Begins... (4 Viewers)

I think Ojibwa was a real casino that closed in 2020ish and sold the chips off.
yeah what ever we are being told they were IMO 100% designed by a chipper. Ultimately sourced by a chipper by way of buying chips that were never put into play for one reason or another.

Man, all these Tiger chips are stunning. Combination of artistry, design, and GPI color palette makes these really something special.

Question...and apologies if this is a derail...Since there have been several NAGB's and likely some in the pipeline as I type, is it generally now assumed that GPI is now aware what's happening and simply doesn't care? If so, would it be possible to run a GB that would make it possible for more chippers to get new Paulson's at cost+fees+shipping etc.?

Rerail....

I might have missed this if it was previously answered but what was the production time from submitting order to shipping notice?

Tho, you wanna thee more chipth??? Pleathe follow me into my houth… by the way, you can call it Tiger Palath if you like…. And don’t be thcared….

I put my heart, soul, and countless hours into these chips so I hope everyone loves them as much as I do. Ken is running the ship so I’m sure he will reveal it all soon, but we tried to learn and handle this one differently than those that came before it. I think everyone will notice and appreciate that as it unfolds.

The Cali set is my concerto. Here’s another sneak.

All depends on how your rods and cones work and what designs look pleasing to your eyes.
If you like bright colors and high contrast with a variety of high level edgespots, these sets are up there among the best.
Though the inlay has no real "history", it is well designed and not a throw away.

Your GOAT may look different then someone else's GOAT

Exactly ^this^.

I tend to view the new GPI-era custom THC/IHC chip sets in a relative vacuum, and disregard any irrelevant issues surrounding their appearance on the scene (including procurement method, quantity, availability, current market price, purchaser(s), or purchaser intent). Stripping away all the noise allows me to better appreciate the chips without any baggage, and just focus on the chips themselves -- design elements and cohesiveness of the chips and resulting sets -- as evaluated by my personal tastes and preferences.

To the best of my knowledge, there have been at least 20 such sets using 10 different themes produced to date (numbers which are still totally surprising to me), and likely there will be even more to come in the future.

Without naming names, here's a list (which is probably incomplete), with no particular order or name accuracy:

Member A -- Empress Star (3 sets)
Member B -- Aurora Star (2 sets)
Member C -- Harlequin (1 set?)
Member D -- Truman's House (2 sets?)
Member E -- Chicken Coop (1 set?)
Member F -- Big Top Poker (2 sets)
Member G -- Sunset Beach (2 sets)
Member H -- unreleased name (2 sets)
Member I -- Royal Princess (4 sets)
Member J -- Tiger Palace (4 sets)

Can I rank all of those 20+ sets in order of my preference? Sure, but what's the point.... I'd rather just enjoy them all for what they are -- which is mostly magnificent, and almost magical that they exist at all.

Besides, my pick(s) for Greatest of All Time GPI-Era Custom Paulsons (GOAT GECPs) probably isn't the same as yours. And who really cares? :D

Amen.

I’ve said it before elsewhere, I’m sure glad we don’t all have the same taste in chips in general. This place would be boring otherwise.

I personally like bright, modern chips (among others) and whether or not someone else likes them too is irrelevant.

Surely?

Because he's the hero Gotham PCF deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

don't forget pacific star

Whether you can afford to buy a barrel of these or a big set, if you love them or don’t care for them, we should all be grateful that they exist!! How amazing to have the final run of bear claw, and to get a whole line of NCVs with it all over them. Also, there is no reason these gentlemen have the share this with us, let alone do it all in the open and in an organized fashion. This has to be the most exciting development in the chip world since Jim started selling chips. Merry Christmas y’all!!

One of the great things about this place is that we all have different tastes. It would be a boring forum if everyone had matching opinions!

Add emotional elements such as recency bias, FOMO, greed, trolling for trolling’s sake — all very real things — and it can be difficult to objectively judge a set on merit alone.

I think that’s why it’s especially important to ensure that we don’t lose sight of the fact that your opinion doesn’t actually matter because Tiger Palace is the indisputable GOAT NAGB.
