As promised, I am publishing GPI/Paulson's latest available Chip Styles (spot patterns), based on their 2021/2022 catalog. I will send this to Tommy as well to make it available via PCF's Chip DB or Resources.

Thanks for posting that @kk405.

Those new style are, for the most part, a giant ‘woof’. I can’t for the life of me understand the thinking behind the asymmetrical spot patterns on styles 53, 54 & 59.

They look at 'art/design' very differently than PCFers do. Simplicity, security and cost are far more important to them (and the casino managers/executives) than splash pots :cool. And I believe the insiders consider the cost a major factor towards even simpler offerings in the future.

The writing is on the wall (or on the steps) ... It seems vendors are betting the future is in plastics/ceramics and not clay. Once can discern from Bellagio ordering hot stamp $1s (I can only assume it's due to prices), and most new clay chips, predominantly by U.S. casinos who still have legacy favoritism towards clay chips... now leaving much of the design to Dick&Harry at GPI/Paulson, who in turn are producing simple and ridiculously ugly chips across the board...again due to cost and no one really caring to put any effort in clay design/production...
Only thing I can add is…1. I’m glad I’m old. 2. Glad we have our home games covered. I hate playing with casino ceramics and plastic. If I can’t harvest, I’m not there. Too bad the casino customer base isn’t all chippers.

They would probably look reasonably decent with aligned inlays

Was there any chip designs (spot pattern/color choices) that didn’t make the final Tiger cut? You guys knocked this set outta the park, so I’m wondering if there was a couple inside the park HR chips that had to be scratched or replaced :cool

Do ya have a current price list too??
Current GPI prices? So interesting…. Totes curious.

(PS. Totally ok with profits- that was a lot of work to pull that off. Just curious what GPI is charging is all.)

Another tidbit I can add: As of 2022, ANGEL/GPI stopped selling clay chips in the largest continent in the world...which I believe is also the biggest casino market. Not sure what this means for the overall future strategy of the company, and it may take several years to unfold (maybe even a decade or more), but it's not a positive sign for clay disc enthusiasts. Obviously this doesn't apply to customers who are grandfathered or what I assume are special cases approved by Richard or Dick in accounting, but it applies to all new customers.

Ever the more reason to be looting every possible good clay chip on the continent. I pulled 12-15 thousand chips out of Paris/Ballys/GN/Plaza and never let any good chip past me.

Buckle up y’all and get to work.

I'm beginning to wonder, after having looked at them for some time, whether the primary $1s might be one of the nicest chips I've ever seen... especially lined up in racks & quantities...

Thank you @JeepologyOffroad and @kk405 for bringing them to life.
Been saying this from the beginning!
