MJ was a bozo -- SOOOOO overrated :p

edit -- it's the sports trash talk thread. yes I know he IS the best of all time

We all miss sports. I’m thankful to those who have spent the majority of their life in pursuit of perfection in whatever athletic endeavor they participate.

Since it’s a sports trash talk thread, I’ll say f**k off to many of these fans. It amazes me how we still have fans dumping beer on athletes, yelling f**k you little bi**h at lebron, Adam Jones being called ni**er in opposing stadiums, and pretty much every damn fan who thinks they can touch NBA players.

When Russel finally snaps and rips off an uppercut on some middle aged pudgy dudes head, I’m going out and buying 20 of his jerseys and starting his go fund me.

You should be preparing for a Lightning ring too... If they play.

I just can’t see how the NHL will be able to finish this season/tournament with the current level of COVID-19 :( They may start, but I doubt they finish.

Should be an interesting NFL season for you if that gets started.

I know, we finally get a QB, and now this. I think the NFL is least likely to play of all the major sports.

I feel the same way... But without the elimination round, who gets the #1 pick?

It would just be such Seattle baseball luck if this is the year the mariners were some how able to win the series. There would always be an asterisk. “Yeah, they won in that f$!*#d up Covid season.....”. :cautious:

I would argue it’s almost harder to win this year. They’re sprinting instead of running a marathon. Each game has so much more on the line.

I agree with @WedgeRock that it's easier to win now. It must be hard to stay awake during a game of baseball, especially during a marathon compared to a sprint.

At least they know it will all be over soon and they can get back to playing more interesting sports.

But the game is no longer a war of attrition. You have to put your best foot forward every day.

RayeAnne, right? That's a beautiful name. Is that Greek? That...Raye Anne. I don't know. It's a beautiful name, though. There's a great song by Motley Crue. Do you know it? 'Raye Anne, she's a stay in.' No?

Anyway, a good friend of mine used to say, 'Its a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball. You hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains.' Think about that for a while.

Heard a podcast with Kirk Gibson today... he made the comment that in a 60 game season, every game count as 2.7 games...

I still think it'll be easier in a shortened season, because any team can get hot for a month, which is like half the season.
