I see merit to both arguments really. Teams can get hot of course but once the postseason begins the better teams should be able to beat the lesser teams.

No they don't!!
I can only name 3 current Mariners (there are probably others, if I really think about it). And 2 of the 3 are projected to hit under .220.
Good lord, they're terrible. Is it possible that they are the worst franchise in the history of sports, ANY sport? I would put them right up there.

Never thought I'd be so stoked for fanless NHL hockey in the middle of summer with a format that gives teams who'd otherwise have had ZERO chance at the playoffs (looking at you, Chicago and Montreal) a shot to play for Lord Stanley's Cup, but here we are. Only one week!

Did the Mariners pitching load the bases in the first before recording an out, then hit the next batter -- in the foot! -- for the season's first earned run?

So 9 Marlins players, including catcher Jorge Alfaro, have reportedly tested positive for COVID. The Marlins are staying put in Philly where they played their weekend series (cancelling their next home game), and the Phillies have cancelled tonight's home game against the Yankees. Alfaro would have been within 6 feet of every Phillies batter.

So both teams quarantine for 14 days? I assume (but haven't seen anything written) that the umps will quarantine too. So another dozen games for both teams (plus a handful of games for their opponents).

Manfred hasn't committed to pausing the season (yet). This 60-game farce of a season is a dumpster fire, and now endagers more than just the players. I'm gonna be pissed of the greed of the owners and players undermines the nation's ability to control the further spread of this virus.
 
The Houston Assholes are just starting to experience what it's like when you CHEAT in baseball. There will be more of this coming.....virus or not

Dodgers have made their statement and no further action is required imo. However, other teams are going to chime in....
 
Joe Kelly being suspended for 8 games is such bullshit. So Manfred won't punish the cheaters but he'll punish the retaliators.
