You're not a real home game tournament director until you are unfolding tables 35 minutes before the tournament starts.....
I know you’re just joking, but Mark has a fantastic league. He has everything down to a T, and is so organized with everything. Hands down an amazing host!

That comes from setting up a week ahead of time. You don't overlook the little stuff when you are actually interested in your own game.

Nope. The December game is usually one of the bigger games to, and I'm very appreciative of my players. its my game to give back to them, and they give to the local food bank. I'm currently sitting at 37 players right now (and @Chippy McChiperson BTP set is maxed out on starting stacks). I know I won my last one, but this is the one you really want to win (from a points perspective). Given the big game, I want everything done and ready early.

All I have left to do is buy HotDog buns (which, if you have an Aldi nearby, a pack of buns is $.89) and dogs. Few more things to do this week and we're ready. I am lucky though, as I don't have to worry about parking :cool:p

Oh, I know it. Mark's game is top notch! I was more busting my own balls on that one. I am constantly toeing the line of having the basement available to the kids for the week to keep the wife happy, then figuring out when I can set up after coaching my third hockey game of the weekend. Nothing like living by the seat of your pants!

The number of times I have heard about Mark's game is more than I can count. From pics of the layout to the chipsets to knowing Mark personally, it is a bucket-list game. Sadly, all the family I had in the area has moved out :(, so I have no reason to visit...

...unless there's a Meet-up  :whistling:

The biggest drawback of my house is that you can only access the basement through the front door. That makes it hard to have my family home while running an all-day meetup. For now, my wife has put the kybosh on. If I can convince them to go on a mini vacation without me ... it could happen. I do know that I wouldn't be able to have anyone sleep in the house.

Oh, and look. I'm out of the samples game ....

oh, but I "filled" 4 display cases. Granted, one of them is partially full, but it's only my chips (and 4 MD casinos). One is MD only.

Brutal suck out three way all in hitting the miracle 8 on the river.

Hand history if anyone cares...blinds 400/800. 8 handed, BB had 22.8k, CO had 17.5k, hero on button had 35.3k. Folds around to CO who min raises to 1600, I make it 5k with JJ. SB folds, BB tank calls, CO calls. Flop is checked through. Jack comes on the turn, BB shoves, CO thinks and calls, I snap. Then the delightful river

Oh Lordy I’m running so bad right now. Busted tournament to a limp call of my all in with AK with his QJ. J on the flop.

Omaha . I’m BB with 9874. Limped pot with a flop of 442. We get it in, he has 22. I don’t hit one of my 10 outs.

Flop trips on a Q 10 10 board with 10 9. Turn Q. He has a Q

Flop bottom pair (yeah, it’s a bad call) with 23 on a Q34 flop. Turn 3, he bets, I raise, he flats. River, Q

Flop a set, 4 to a straight runs out
Flop a set, 4 to a flush runs out.

Poker is stupid!!!!
