These are ceramics right? How will the do over time if they are in a bag, being shook around, with all the abrasion from rubbing up against each other. Do you think the art will get chipped away over time?

The wear from being shaken in a bag once per tourney doesn't compare to the wear of being played at the table for hours.

They'll be fine; "ceramics" are very durable. They ain't fine china.

These are great. I have a couple of sets but they are mermaid and Dragon sets

Yeah, I have all four of the heraldry sets - Dragon, Lion, Eagle, Mermaid.

This might be a good time to note that the heraldry sets use the same size and back-side design as the suits sets, so if you get both, you have seating chips for an eight-table tournament.

So that's what I'll be doing.

Not that I've even needed the four I have.

Actually, I haven't run a tourney bigger than one table.

Actually, I haven't used the seating chips when running one of my tourneys.

Yep, gotta have all eight.

I wouldn't be so sure. With all that abrasion from rubbing up against one another, they'll probably be ground into a fine powder before the first shuffle up and deal.

What shipping method would be used to send these to Canada?

This is from the previous one 2 years ago, probably the same for now, but Sal would be the one to confirm:

SHIPPING

We are using USPS Priority Flat Rate service which for my company has been enormously successful and reliable.

Domestic

Those of you who had a small enough order qualified for the Small Box which is very affordable. Just a note: This includes $50 indemnity insurance only. If your order goes over that amount you can purchase additional insurance.

For larger orders using the Medium Box once again it only includes indemnity insurance of $50. Since your orders will most likely be considerably more valuable I suggest you purchase additional insurance.

International

The Small Box is affordable but does not include any insurance - $0. Also USPS does not offer insurance on these smaller packages. I know - it raises questions.

The Medium Box was not used by anyone but it does cost considerably more. It does include about $122.75 worth of indemnity insurance. You can purchase additional insurance if you decide you want to use this option.

______________________________________________

1. I only use USPS Priority Flat Rate for group buys.

2. It is up to you to ask for additional insurance or ask for an upgrade.

3. All orders receive a tracking number.

4. International tracking stops at the last U.S. waypoint. There is no way to track international USPS packages.

5. International packages usually take 7-10 days to arrive but can take longer if your country's customs or postal service holds the package. After 10-14 days contact your local postal/customs office and inquire about the package.

6. Replacement of lost or damaged packages/products will be handled on a case by case basis and will depend on whether or not your package was fully insured.

Please contact me via email to add insurance or upgrade.

I'd be in for a diamond set since it would match my table well. I could get a second suite as well if it helps get the group buy to happen.

Last tourney I was at, anyone who rebuys does not surrender their bounty. Until they're out of the tourney for good, the bounty was live.

Interesting. I have never seen it done that way, in either a casino or a home or charity game.

Usually, when you go all-in, your bounty button goes into the pot along with your chips.

If that's a concern, don't use a bag. Since most people are golng to spread the seating chips on a table, rather than drawing from a bag, the bag is a complete waste anyway, IMO.

No, the bag is good. It will hold all the chippings and powdered ceramic left over after the chips have abraded themselves into oblivion.

Yeah, mine have never been in the bag, face down on the table for sure. The bag actually got reassigned to golf/snowboard duties to hold delicate glassware and flowers. :D

Face down is a better idea. Didn't think about that.

As the great poet warriors Too Live Crew once said "Face down, stars up, that's the way we like to pick our seats...", I think that's how it went anyway.

That was the whole reason behind having the backs exactly the same on all sets, that way face down they all look the same and you can have one table, two tables, three tables, or four tables laid out on the felt and it doesn't matter. As long as you have the seats to correspond to the seat chips you can use any combination you want and they are all the same to anybody picking.

Face down it is and it would be great if I could skip the button and the plaque because I really don't need them. Keep me posted and thanks for putting this together OP.

Question. I have not held more than a 1 table tourney, and unlikely to do so any time in the near future. But I ha e friends who rarely hold multi-table tournies and am a sucker for the complete set (as we all are). But in all honesty/seriousness, do I really need more than 2 sets (hearts and spades)? Or am I likely to regret not getting a full set of 4? Mostly asking those in a similar situation or who may have missed out last time and regretted it. I get it, MOAR is better, but you know what I'm saying. Thanks!

I'm down for all 4. Never held a 4 table tourney but I was bummed I missed out last time.

Alright guys, I think we only need 3 more full sets and it will be at the right total for all sets! Not bad for ~16 hours since the post. ;)

I'm also toying with the idea of adding a 2nd complete set myself, and I'm going to @pokerplayingpisces game tonight where I'll probably secure a few more sets, so lets get this done. :)

I knew the interest was there, glad it's coming to fruition.

Bump, come on folks, we're close on this, I'm probably going to add a 2nd full set to my order, who else is with me!

Yes, you can order just the seating chips.
You can order single tables as well but just remember that we have to meet 25 purchases of the chips for each table to meet the minimums. So that would be 25 full sets. It's not an easy prospect.

I also do hope we can do this even though I'm not looking forward to all the work it takes, lol.

Sal please confirm the price of just the chips excluding the plaque & button. Thanks.
