Ok cool. Because I’m trying to decide if I want the dealer cut out or not.
I deal for my games…don’t mind not having a cut out.
I would lean towards no. It's better to not have it and be able to use that spot for a player and it not be awkward. You can deal from any spot on a table but it's really uncomfortable to play from a dealer cutout.

Ah this is super good advice. I was going to ask this very question actually. I’m the one who takes dealing the most seriously and I tried to teach these apes how to shuffle properly but I keep forgetting to bring my crayons with me. So I’ve become the dedicated dealer.
But it is uncomfortable and to play from the dealer spot then? Just better off to get the full rail and deal over it?
If it makes a difference as well it’s never a cash game. We play tournaments so the only time I’m worried about chips is a buy in on a bust or color ups.
when you have a dealer cut out, you are taking away table space to make your play area comfortable.

Plus, the rail gives you a stop for chips that get knocked over. A dealer cutout takes that safety away.

We have a dedicated dealer at Godfather Club it’s usually me, but I always thought that the dealer cut out just makes the sidelines worse on that side of the table. Change my mind.

Well the plan right now is the gorilla Illuminati design which is supposed to have the improved sight lines due to the shape.
been looking at triton premier or gorilla illuminati myself. The full table illuminati no shuffle tech option, but I'm sure for the right price they'll do it. But on the illuminati dealer model, yes shuffle tech option for $899 add on. Triton premier 90x48 Illuminati 94x46. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm For shuffle tech, I think I'd do the shuffle tech built in side table to roll where you want it, and box built around bottom with sound foam that some people talk about on PCF that masks a lot of the noise it makes. Still learning here myself. Cant decide on table though

Normally 8 but here and there when everyone can make it 10. But 80% of time of time 8 of us. I'm just thinking on the nights there is 10, is the length better (illuminati) or width better (triton) I dont know...

So you saying go with gorilla 94x46 Illuminati or gorilla home table 96x45 over the triton 90x48 Ok interesting.

The Triton is very nice, but the only advantages it folds in half and can be rolled away. If it folding in half and rolling away is the biggest advantage for you then buy it otherwise a full-size table with folding legs is superior.
point taken, makes sense. Do you know anything about these Gorilla tables, and the so called super strong Gorilla legs. I've been reading ton about them on here. Quality table? solid? not wobbly? Worth the money if I can afford it over a lets say $240 Barrington? Thanks for your help
Yeah it’s a folding table, but can handle the wear tear and abuse of 8-10 poker slobs slamming on it.
Any other legs/pedestals are simply cometic.

I don’t know what they’re asking for the Gorilla Tables but if it’s crazy expensive then it’s he Barrington is a good starter table and while playing on that I’d build a table. I can build a table that smokes a Gorilla in every metric and for under $500. Alot of us can and it’s not that difficult.

But if you're not handy, like me. I can barely put windshield wipers on my car ha ha I have no choice but to buy one. I don't have the tools or skills to build one on my own. I have a cheaper table that's old now similar to a Barrington type table. It's time for a huge upgrade, I want people to say wow great table, Jerry this doesn't feel or look like a cheaper folding table, it doesn't wobble, felts slick, looks cool, cup holders deep etc.... a few cool customs felts too!!! Any help or tips, I'm all ears!!! Lastly of course we all would love a chan table they look amazing but out my price range! Thanks

Triton truthfully is best bc it folds on wheels. If that’s not a top priority and the table can stay out, or fold and be against a wall, go with bro or gg. Fair warning, even tho it’s foldable legs they r heavy! 2 person job.
Also, if you’re patient, you should be able to score something very nice around $1000 on Facebook market.

You'd be surprises what you can do. Find a good build thread on PCF and then your handiest acquaintance. Also, to DblBoo's point, you see alot of home builts on the socials for sale. $1500 - $2000 for a table? I couldn't stomach it so I built. It's easier than you think. Think of your handiest acquaintance. Those types love a good project.

I don’t think most people can make a table better than professionals who make tables every day as a living. You can certainly make a good table with a fair bit of effort but time is money at the end of the day as well. It’s all trade offs. From everything I’ve seen here on the forum and elsewhere you’ll get a really good professional product from GG.

Granted, someone that has never built a table would not be able to do this but I can build a table start to to finish in a weekend.
Tiny little table, 60"x48". It has a "Tulip" cast iron base which was really hard to find to support that size of table. It's bar height as well. The dining table is solid Oak with a natural finish.

Got the @T_Chan custom Chanman felt on an actual table now. Got the table pretty cheap and filled in the dealer tray cut out. Table was from the legendary card room “Fire & Ice”. I put some sturdy, adjustable legs on her and left all the original pieces of chewing gum.
I used the plywood from an old table to make some drink carts. Then I did a bunch of extra work to put some cheap paranoids on the top under plexiglass.

Nice….did you use flat iron or plywood to fill in dealer cut out? For bracing underneath?
