Very pretty. Retro green with peach? Make sure I get an invite to your inaugural limit bash. Planning on a 2/4 or 4/8 game?

Yup on colors.

2/4 with a 4/8 kill?

I only have the 240 I needed to round my commemorative order to 300. Still need a bunch more to have a functional set!

^ That's the limit game they ran when/where I first learned how to play real poker. At Sugarloaf. :)
Now I just need to get my kill button made. (Art for it is in order along with the Paymaster set.)

Looking forward to seeing the H.P. Kill art. Options are through the roof.
I'm completely in J5's hands on it. For the Paymaster set I gave him a multi page word doc with all my thoughts on things I wanted.

My instructions for the kill button were "something fun and cool in the Hitching Post theme."

IDPL tournament 7 tonight and I am mildly/probably more than mildly drunk pre game from sake. Probably not going to be a perfect evening but at least I will have my gambooooool face on.

We're off!

Just read this entire thread from start to finish. I don't know what I'm more envious of, your poker room or the amount of people you can get together for a game!
I know Puggy has had the same problem. Seems like it is harder for some of our European members to get numbers.

Yeah, poker's just not as popular over here unfortunately (although it's gaining in popularity). It's not so unpopular either, it's just not ingrained in the culture like it is in the States.

When I lived in SoCal we'd often have 3-4 table tourneys at my buddy's place. Even when we threw together a game last minute it was pretty easy to get a full table--everyone was up for at least a small stakes game. Not so much here--I set up a events page on Facebook a week or 2 in advance and usually get 5 or 6 players. I just started hosting though, so hopefully that'll grow.

It's a real shame. I'm going to start playing at the casino so I'll see if I meet anyone there.

I'm headed to Austria in a couple of weeks, Bad Mitterndorf. Lovely country.

IDPL tournament 8. This guy was just rude

S@P3 card capper

pocket 77 was my nemesis tonight. Raised with it one hand and got two calls. Flop A76 rainbow. Flop betting escalates to all ins and the player immediately to my left who smooth called pre tables AA. Down to scratch I still claw my way back to a respectable stack. Then get sevens and hit a set again....and lose half my stack to a flush draw that hits on the river after all ins. Then lose another half of my stack on the next hand on a midget short stack battle with all ins where I have AQ and my opponent tables...77. Back to vapors I fight my way to a respectable stack AGAIN. Get AK and have an A Q 7 flop. Betting starts to get really heavy and I decide top top isn't good enough to play for stacks and fold tabling the AK and joke about how I am sure my opponent has 77. Villain starts laughing and flashes 77. Now I'm in the red zone with enormous blinds so just waiting for a chance to shove and catch....77. I shove because I know I'm supposed to and get two calls. Villains table AJ and AQ. Jack comes on flop. NH GG FU Pocket sevens.

So after I get bounced a player who was involved with me in multiple of the hands mentioned above shoves and gets two calls behind. And tables...77. I tell him he is screwed that it will only break his heart. Sure enough he spikes a seven on the turn...and then is crushed on the river.

Moral of the story is friends don't let friends play pocket sevens.

Anyway after getting bounced I decided to go ahead and organize for S@P3. 50 starting stacks ready to roll

Ah, I see you have the same blue padded chairs I used for my home game, those things are great, and a pretty good value too :)

Where did you get yours from? I got them from bizchairs.com and then found out their distribution center is thirty miles away. Took a truck out and halved the cost by avoiding delivery. I needed forty of them so that was a big savings for me. I agree they are nice and comfortable and easy to store away as well.

4-pack via Walmart online for $125. They're listed under:

Hercules Hinged Fabric Padded Folding Chair - 4-Pack, Navy Blue

Round out your game some more. I used to not play well short stacked but now I've expanded into not playing well in any situation. It's very liberating.

I don't think you got. Go get some coffee and revisit.

But then again, I only play 77 from UTG.

Brand new to this forum, but I have to ask - and sorry if it's been asked before or elsewhere - where did you get those awesome seating cards made?

No worries at all! Game on Chip Company made them for me. They did charge me a premium as one of the two sides has a different graphic on every single plate. (I think it was like $7 a piece).

They are awesome! (As is the rest of your set up obviously!) Having a great time lurking through these threads, glad to see that chip enthusiasts have found a new home.

IDPL tournament 9. Crack coffee powah unleashed. Before crack coffee host was hanging on for his life. After crack coffee host was a two ton wrecking ball.

Rolled all the way to heads up vs Shleepytime aka "the Thorn" aka "fried chicken". With the chip lead managed to trap him with QQ in the hole on a board where he paired 10s on 10 6. River 10 sent me to 30K vs his stack of 160K. Against an aggressive player like Chris if he's gonna hit that one you are in it deep. Eventually he ground me out for a second place finish for Señor Arbol.

Looks like an awesome nice, and great pictures, sir. I love this setup, it looks like you got a real good bunch there!

P.s. crack coffee!?
