Tangiers and the Quest for a Tina Hybrid Faux Inlay (10 Viewers)

are there cut cards yet? I'd like to petition for Lester.

I made one for Okku's group buy, but could be convinced to alter or make another.

we need a @rjdev7 topper to go with these....
I made one for myself and tweaked the file after to make it pop a bit more. If anyone wants it, I'll pass the latest to @rjdev7. Love mine!

Yes - the 4 circles under the label.
But there‘s a small nibble on the rolling edge.
At least the chips i got, have this small nibble…

I don‘t mind, but if they grind it before printing, they would be perfect!
That small nipple may prove crucial to determining real vs fake vintage chips in ads down the road as more molds are developed. In person it’s noticeable without them, but in an eBay ad claiming to be something vintage cues like this help.

Hypothetically someone could use a different mold and inlay but this color configuration bc they look awesome!

I really can't get over how much I love these in person.

Let's do this.. US folks (sorry non-US), PM me your address and I'll mail you 2 random chip samples free of charge.

I'll limit it at 50 PMs if we ever get there.. doubt we'll get close, but who knows.

Edit: Hit 50.. that's all folks. Will get out in the next week.

I will say regarding nipples.. these do feel like the best I've seen. Not sure if Tina did anything to improve or if they'll all come out this nice.. but very unnoticeable in person vs other sets.

All of the newest hybrid ceramics are getting better and better. Originally that nipple was very noticeable. Immediately I noticed it on the first run, but it's getting less and less noticeable with me. I'm loving all of the new chips.

Poor us non-US..

Sample chips in hand... feeling VERY happy about these! Seeing the 4 color test samples in hand, also feeling very good about color adjustments to fix some of the chips that are more off (25c, 5, 500, 25k).

One more test round to go with the tweaks... but frankly I'd be happy as a clam with these as they stand. I do also recognize that there will be run to run variation in both chips and inlays - so they'll never be perfect, but fine with that!

That's an incredible improvement from where we started

0.05 is a grey chip with pink spots. Could absolutely do a $2.50 inlay for the pink (already planning on labels for a few others too, e.g. $20).

To other comment.. I'm also not the best at photographing, but below is the best I can do for now. Only took photos of the chips I'm deeming "final".. the others have color/spot adjustments pending.

Can figure out samples when everything is all done for sure if Justin doesn't plan to offer.

Since we are talking of secondary label, can we have $100k as an alternate $500 (white is easy to match too) as $1 & $500 original colour might be too close for colour blindness

Good thought, let me see. I'll take a look at secondary labels likely after the final run is done. Some of the updated colors in the next run may resolve things (or not) color blindness-wise, but we'll see. Also need to strike a balance of allowing some alt denoms, but not too many that put Tina/Justin/etc in order management hell which can lead to errors.

Thanks for the hard works, looking forward to the final result and can't wait to place an order for these

These look fantastic. Would love to have gotten a sample but this would be my favorite pre design of Tina’s that I’ve seen so far. Will these be available in Justin’s monthly group buy or a seperate order?

Are these chips available to order?

Not yet, want to do one more tweaking/confirmation round with Tina first, but factory just closed for China holiday. Likely earliest group buy sometime in Feb at this point.

TLDR - Can I Order? can i order, now? How about, now?

Factory will no open back up until Feb 13. We can start the order to end mid March. The final colors will not be determined until early
March. We can also wait until early March to start to buy ending early April. Would give us time to have the final colors displayed. I will talk to @Cratty and post something here when we know the start date

From March to April? So long tax return!

Who am I kidding. Gonna watch this thread so I can “remember to do my taxes.”

How Slippery would you say this mold is compared to say, the web mold? (I find ceramic chips quite slippery in general)

You need to get samples. These are not your average ceramics. Slipperiness is minimal
