Tangiers and the Quest for a Tina Hybrid Faux Inlay (5 Viewers)

Let's hope this thread doesn't go the same way as the one with the toppers....

It's an actual mold, all thanks there to Justin.
Thank you. My persistent investigative work got me all the answers i was looking for  :ROFLMAO:

I’m curious what happened to the one with the toppers.

Good thought, let me see. I'll take a look at secondary labels likely after the final run is done. Some of the updated colors in the next run may resolve things (or not) color blindness-wise, but we'll see. Also need to strike a balance of allowing some alt denoms, but not too many that put Tina/Justin/etc in order management hell which can lead to errors.
Thanks Cratty for this amazing work.

I'm new to the forum and a super micro-stakes player. Is it possible to get alternate labels for the below odd denominations? I know this breakdown is abnormal, not recommended, but is what my 'cheap' penny stakes group is accustomed to:

5c (present already)
10c
25c (present already, but favor a different color chip, optional)
50c
$1 (present already)

And I think there will be sample buy opportunity before the main buy?

Thanks!

We'll have to see for alt denoms. Likely fixed denoms to start with a few alts during the bulk order volume period, but will finalize those soon. Becomes too much to manage when too many alts are available, and also runs a higher risk of getting messed up orders.

Not sure why you would want the 10c and 50c.

The next chip denomination is usually 4-5x the previous $.

I grew up with a group and we played with $.05, $.10, $.25 and $.50. After I started getting into chipping I started buying sets without the $.10 and $.50 and just added the dollar and eventually $5 chips and never really got any pushback. For your purposes sounds like the nickel, quarter, dollar should probably suit your needs

I understand and will keep fingers crossed. Thanks Cratty.

I understand ranger764 and doublebooyah85's suggestions for .05 , .25 and $1, being the usual 4/5x denoms. I'll still prefer to include .10 and .50 if available since my group will prefer that.

That's how many of us started. My first set also had 10c, 20c, 50c, $1, $2, $5 etc because I wanted to have lots of cool designs. But it's complete bullshit and really makes no sense at all.
And usually hardly anyone in the group is interested in what we chippers do. They play with what they get from us and adapt quickly.

Good opportunity to teach your group how to bank and player the more common way.

You might want to look at some of the threads/resources here on PCF that discuss all the various starting stack options for cash games and tournament games. As others have said, once you start to really think about it there actually is a logic behind why certain chip denomination combos do - or do not - work well. And even if you think that a particular starting stack works well for your group, there is very likely a different starting stack combination that will work even better and produce even more enjoyable games for you guys. Just off the top of my head here are a few things you might want to check out:
