Teddy KGB chips from TR King (1 Viewer)

$3/chip, yeah id pay that for the denominations i want. Id have to sell some of my own chips after, but yeah. Would be totally worth it.

I've never actually seen or touched a TRK chip in person. I'm starting to think that's for the best...

Meh... with no nickels or $5000 chips, I'm out. Nice boxes, though. ;)

I agree, split in several cash and tourney sets, in bulk they will not fetch the same top dollar
To carve up a set of this historical proportion would be a serious crime against chipping humanity. Please don't do it. A huge part of the allure (and value) of this set is it's completeness.

I really have no idea what these are actually worth, given a) the massive quantities listed, b) it's a complete mint set in original boxes, c) the current market chip frenzy in general including a very high demand for TRK chips, and d) a short supply due to the small production run. For a good starting number, ask Chaos how much his house is worth.

All I know is that I have $10,000 burning a hole in my pocket. :whistling: If I were in the market for this set (and I'm not), I'd easily spend $13,000 to keep it intact. I'm sure there are others here who would go higher.

While we disagree here - IF he's interested in selling, seems wrong for one owner to have so many chips in such high demand when you could have multiple owners having almost all of them in play across the world - I think your pricing estimates/guesses are pretty much spot on. $10k is the floor; the sky's the limit depending on the buyer(s).

I have a 300 chip set of these and would gladly add more!!
Thanks to Paz starting a TRK tribute thread years ago, I got the TRK bug and haven't stopped.
Wow, this set is EPIC!!

You know something that we dont know Tommy???

@Tommy is sitting at his computer, causally quarantining all of your messages to @Nbk. Eventually he'll send him a message, say it's too bad no one was interested enough to send you a message and make an offer. Then he'll kindly offer him $2/chip, and even agree to pay for shipping pick them up in person. Next thing you know, his Broken Bell orders will be canceled and the rest of his Blue Chips will hit the marketplace. Ship it.

Honestly? You might as well have said that you happen to have found an ancient pyramid buried in your back yard and it's chock full gold statues shaped like tits, perfectly preserved alien bodies wrapped in invisibility cloaks, filled to the brim with diamonds, and protected by sex starved, immortal Amazon goddesses.

Curious, what did those go for when they were new?

I know what I would have done if I wanted to maximize profit. Announced that I have a 2000 chip set of mint in the box TRK Rounders, after a period of drooling and drumming up interest, broke them into 500 chip sets and posted them on eBay. If a purist wanted to keep the set together for history, he'd have to pay for the privilege. Except of course for the 1000 that I held back. Those would be put up for sale a year later in the same fashion, allowing the people that kicked themselves for not bidding higher the first time around to bid even higher when they get that second and last ever chance.

If I were French, I would hold back 1700 and announce that I have a set of 3300...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MOAR PIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You best bust open those boxes atleast!!!!! They could be empty ;)o_O;):eek:o_O;)

And you call yourself chippers.....HA!

Hi guys and thanx for the answers.

To try and give some answers, i don't remember how much i paid for the chips.

I initially bought 5000 of them so almost all produced (which i discoverthanx to you), i thought they would have made 10 thousands of them.
I offered a set to a friend and i keep a set for me plus some replacements chips.

That leaves the the 3300 chips mentionned.

I'm a huge fan of Teddy Kgb and clay chips (i also have paulson's) so i will never sell my personal set in the future for any price.

These chips were sleeping in my garage and i thought i would made others fans like me happy.

I also discover the value of the set if united.
But for respect of the myth i think i'd prefer sell a few sets to real fans. I don't want to sell the whole set and see it sold later in pieces for money.

I really don't now what to do yet but i think i will place auctions on eBay divided in carton boxes of 100 chips at a starting price of $300 a carton.

I don't know.

You ordered 5000? That's the stone cold nuts. And that explains why they never came up for sale
