Putting together a second cash set. I was dead set on this being a no mold set but the B-mold is definitely an option.

Thoughts?

Inlay design: @Quicksilver-75

(Inlay is still being slightly tweaked)

maybe gray or white for the $1 to give more contrast to the $20?

also, the mascot is probably going to be too small when printed. the mock-ups appear almost life size on my monitor - if i didn't know what i was looking at i would think they were just accent/floral-ish designs added to fill space. i'm also not a huge fan of the font used.

you also forgot to put "THEE" before Ohio State ;)

Definitely not interested in white for $1.

I'm still thinking about gray but my table has a gray felt. The charcoal gives it much more contrast. I'm not as much concerned about the contrast between the 1s and the 20s.

(I have a CPC color sample and have looked at these options on my table with my lighting.)

It's funny you mention the font. quicksilver had many options and tweaks. I ultimately like this one the best...go figure!

Canary $20 would fit the traditional color scheme.

Penn State blue? Illini orange?

links gave some very helpful feedback...

I'd go with the "B" mold. Just has more character to me than the no mold. Of course the no mold is one of my least favorite molds.

Agreed with links that Brutus quite possibly may not print well in that design at that size.

Initially on my P&P set I went with a Buckeye colored fractional and preferred Mandarin Red to Red.

B mold FTW

Yeah. I actually really like the no mold. The other consideration is that I can do a 1" inlay with the no mold but not B-mold.

I should also note that I'm trying for a retro vibe with this set (along with the obvious theme).

That is the primary problem. I wanted that with my Casino Royale set that is in production. Needed the FDL large inlay size. Oh well, next custom set will be on the B mold.

Any thoughts on the Brutus issue?

My initial thought was to use Brutus as a space filler (much like a accent/floral-ish design would). I thought quicksilver captured that idea pretty well.

+1,000,000 for neither the table nor the chips saying "The Ohio State University".

Also +1 on coming up with an alternative color for either the $1 or the $20. Charcoal solids are beautiful, but you gotta get some more contrast imo.

Any suggestions?

I'm not dead set on the $20 being black. I'm much more set on the charcoal $1 and the red $5.

I liked @courage's suggestion of a canary $20. If that's a no go, I wouldn't mind arc yellow or dg tiger so long as you're going with regular red. A white $20 wouldn't even be out of the question imo. The white Outpost $20 is awesome. Maybe even dg peacock.

White may be an option.

I was really trying to stick with OSU colors or at least be close.

I was thinking maybe green for the $20 might work because of the green Buckeye leafs.

Yellow is definitely NOT an option for this set.

If going green, you really have to make it a $25 chip imo. Way too much confusion will come of a green $20 chip.

That's the thing. I really want it to be a 20. Just so much easier for home cash games with people carrying $20s.

Ugghhh!!!
