The Essential Edge: Official Knife Thread (3 Viewers)

Looks like my pic was deleted from post 57, so I'll put it up again.

For those old-timers who know, my uncle was Master blade smith Ralph Bone (Lubbock TX). Although I could never afford to buy one of his knives, I did receive this for my 14th birthday. Truly a sweet hunting/fishing blade. The bone handle is hand carved for my hand from a wax impression.

This pic doesn't do it justice. I'll try to get a better one up

Spyderco Chapparal with Raffir scales (very cool 3D effect)

I have every model of Chaparral made... love love love them. it’s the knife most frequently in my pocket and it’s the one in it right now.

Came back to this thread, and now I’m inspired to buy something new... oh brother, this forum has cost me so much money, lol

First knife purchases since 2019, it had been much too long. Spyderco Para 3, and the Benchmade Bugout Mini.

the Para 3 is a great size for a folding EDC, this one is going get a lot of pocket time. The Bugout Mini was a spontaneous add, have the Bugout already and wanted to see the smaller version. Also, the bright colour caught my eye, and I like a little variety in my collection. It also weighs virtually nothing, so very discreet if need be.

I had an opportunity to snag a couple of these TOPS knives for a steal (brand new). I've seen some reviews that put them in the same category as Esee knives. I ordered sight unseen, without getting my hands on one in person. Hoping I didn't make a mistake, but the price was right. Thoughts?
