Question for you. Do you over pay bets to see a flop like your over pay for chips? :)

I haven't taken any real losses on chips yet, so I'd say I paid fair value. :whistling: Of course the gazillion shipping fees are a loss though.

Yes I over pay to see flops. I love doing that actually. Doesn't mean my vpip is too high, just that I'm happy to put a lot of money in with great hands. :D

@Dshark101 was having the same problem

Well, I tried this morning and it worked okay. Hopefully it was just due to server overload issues or something. I bet the app is experiencing an increase of activity over the last couple of weeks...

Ok, i crunched some numbers......

I buy $99 of gold = 840 coins.

thats 11c per coin

Hosting game is 6 gold coins per hour. $0.66c
Hosting a game with a queue is 9 gold coins $0.99c
l have to check, but i think i used about 450 coins last week. Hosting and exporting file. thats about $49

We had 36 active players last week.

If each player pays 1.50 whether they lose or win thats $54.

But heres where it gets tricky. Some people are hosting.

So what i can do is, if you hosted. i will compensate you $0.66 per hour of hosting for no queued game or 99c for queued game.

there. Sounds complicated but actually simpler for me and fair to all.

@MatB you should consider using the 3hour hosting option. It’s only 6 gold rod tap and you get a free 20-min window. There’s a cool down period which means you can only use it once per dah, but it’s definitely better than 6 per hour every single time you run a game.

Can you add on to that game? last night game was 12hours i think

Dont want to start a game and have to restart another if it cant be helped.

Plus... really we are talking about small costs here overall so its not too bad. Specially if spread across all players.

I honestly haven’t tried so I don’t want to speculate on that.

Losers round up to the nearest $5 and winners round down to the nearest $5, would that cover whatever the costs are? I’m 99% certain not one single person would complain.

I’d like to add a caveat, article 2 section b, that reads, “Any fish bowl participant losing in excess of $300 at weeks end is relinquished of all previously mandatory fees.”

And don’t forget this gem in the Addendum... “Additionally, said fishy participants may be paid a 1%of total prize pool weeks following a $500 loss to encourage continued participation.”

Sounds super fair (splitting up hosting and reimbursing other hosts).

I hosted 1 game last week, but I used acquired (not bought) gold, so I don't need a credit.

Ok All,

All winners should have been paid now. If i missed you or you dont see monies. Let me know.

Just waiting on a couple small payments. But we are good to go.!!!

good luck this week.

Also...

thinking of how to implement a small tax to cover coin cost.
Floating some ideas around. A few people have been generous and offered $$ but i want it to be fair and spread across all players.

i'Il implement something this week.
Also, it sucks that you are fronting losses. I think (hope) we have a good group of players, so you don't ever get stuck holding the bag, but why not do like the numbers runners do and collect on Monday, pay out on Tuesday? Losers have 24 hours to square up, otherwise, the juice starts five points a week on Mike.

You can pay the winners on Tuesday (or Monday night if everyone pays promptly) and don't have to front any payments to the winners.

He's only accepted PCFers he knows or is in good standing. Everyone else has been vouched for and is on someone else's dime.

I’m more than happy to throw a few extra bucks in, and if @MatB ends up with enough extra to buy a nice bottle of whiskey for his efforts, that’s fine with me.

The Rounders reference of five points a week on Mike was a joke.

I agree that its a good group of players, and I hope there are no snags. But I guess I just like to anticipate problems. If everyone does what they are supposed to do, there are no issues. But if a losing players misses a payment (inadvertently, on vacation, skips out, etc.), its already too late to figure out plan B because @MatB has laid out the loss out of his own pocket.

If Matt's comfortable with that, fine (we're not talking life changing money here). I'm just suggesting that losing players have 24 hours to square up, and winning players get paid 24 hours after that.

I bought the $20 one, seemed reasonable for hosting supplemental games here and there.

@MatB Did you get everyone who joins your club to enter your referral code? 10 free gold coins to you per person who uses it.

Lol. Unfortunately no. That’s next level thinking. I’m not there yet.

I created a phone account and used that. Also messaged all my friends to download and delete the app to get me the referral as well. There’s a delay in the time that you can accept the coins from multiple people

Second table of BigO is up.

max buy in will increase to 1/2 big stack as we go deep.
Buckle up !
