At the last TCR tournament set sale I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to pick up an inexpensive set of plastic Tropicana chips as a “use anywhere” set. My OCD needed me to complete some racks, and I saw @Statesvegas trade ad wanting to trade low denoms for high denoms. I unfortunately didn’t have any to trade, and since I didn’t want to be greedy I just asked him to consider me for a barrel of T500 if he ended up selling. He ended up sending me this:
ALL of the leftover chips he had…gratis. And to top it off wouldn’t even allow me to pay for postage. His only request was to pay it forward sometime down the road, which I definitely plan to do.
These extras will not only help me complete many racks but allows me tons of tournament flexibility and a shit ton of replacement chips when they go missing.
While there’s a lot of ups and downs in chipping, this community as a whole has a lot of really good, honest, and generous people in it. I appreciate @Statesvegas for being one of them. It was quite a munificent gesture which will be reciprocated twofold in the future. Many thanks Charles!
