Is that a sample? It seems strange for a Vegas casino to have a cash inlay on one side and non-negotiable, no cash value stamped on the other side.
It sells/trades for much much much less than $500 but I don’t know why it’s like that lol

If it was a true cash $500 I think those hold their face value usually?

Pretty common in giveaway/souvenir chips like the money clip chips. Tropicana has multiple $100s like that for example the yellow/black quarter pie. @Okku @BGinGA @gmunny ?

I was going to say this, but I’m relegated to a phone and was too lazy to thumb type it. I will add that it all depends on the casino and the chip rarity whether a $500 is worth face value or not. Most of the time they are not.

I know the Trop had multiple different $100 chips that were either in a money clip or something similar. I know that Nevada Club in Reno also did the same thing with red $100 TRKs that had an inlay on one side and then a TRK Souvenir stamp on the other side. I've seen quite a few Vegas casino chips like the Aladdin, Little Caesars, Union Plaza? or something else that actually had those chips inside of a dealing shoe. So the one side would have the inlay like shown, but then the other side was stamped NCV (No Cash Value). There's probably some others that I'm missing, but those are the main ones.
