This is getting flat out ridiculous yall... so a long time member sent me a single button in a small bubble mailer. Put 4 forever stamps x $.55 each or $2.20 plus a $3.50 stamp is $5.70... I get one of those papers saying you have a package to pick up but requires $1.75 additional shipping.... Brie goes and pays for the package. The cashier throws her $.25 change which goes flying, the receipt and the package at her absolutely rude as F**K.. brings it home and this button was all that was inside.

Looks like they did not give credit for the $3.50 stamp.

I shipped two decks of cards in a bubble envelop in a priority mail envelop from NY to Colorado for 8 bucks and it git there in 4 days. Somebody got hosed here.

It was sent back to the sender for additional postage the first time. He corrected it, why would you take a package in the first place without proper postage leaving it to the recipient to take care of the balance? Awful business strategy but has happened to me before. The $3.50 stamp Cleary has a line drawn through it cancelling it out. Again total incompetents and they don't care because there is no quality control in the mail service... rather you get it or not there is no pride anymore. So many packages at my house at wrong addresses right on the box clear as day, luckily all our neighbors are just used to delivering to each other now... it's just sick!

I just sent a package out today from NJ to IL. It contained 9 Dealer Buttons an 11 chip sample set and it cost me $8.20. There is no way that that package with only one DB should cost $7.45. Stamps usually are not cancelled by an inadvertent pen line mark, but I guess this one was.. I've sent ton's of packages and mostly DB's all accross the country and it usually would be anywhere between - $3.75 to $5.25 for one to two buttons.

Taxation?

$7.45? Ouch...

All of those prices seem crazy from my experience. But you definitely got bent over, Ben.

PayPal shipping FTW

Last time I shipped a DB to the US from Canada, I think I paid CA$1.94. I used a regular envelope though but had the DB in between two pieces of cardboard. Got there safely but took 6 days (pre-Covid).

Total bullshit.

Should have been $3.95.

Alot of times, when I have my postage rights, I'll drop it off instead of taking it to the counter... if my postage is off, the recipient had to make it up.

Epic mail day: Scrub Donkey chips directly from The Hammer himself, @Hammer2171!

I was really regretting not getting some more $100s to color up my little tourney set, and you don't see these chips for sale often. But then he had 120 of exactly the chip I needed and agreed to peel off 20 before he sold the whole set, so it was perfect! They fit just right in my case too, and fill in those last two spots.

After countless hours reading of reading threads and many countless conversations with fellow PCers, I finally took the plunge and participated in the recenr chip room sale and bought my first paulson chip set. These arrived from across the pacific a lot faster than I could have hoped for and couldn't contain my excitement when I got notification they would arrive today!

I decided to go down the used path because all my friends are savages and cant be trusted with anything nice. I can definitely see why there is a strong want preference for new given the wear on the lower denoms but with a little love and care they will scrub up just fine.

Now for the obligatory Pr0n, albeit in the current raw casino used condition. Post clean pics to follow in a few days

^^^ This :-) @davislane

I don't know what USPS does to your packages over there, but they get to Aussie in top shape. Thanks @TheChipRoom . Arrived super fast.

This is my first Paulson set as well. Although modest by comparison, I love them. Super sharp and minty. The 5s are amazing.

I have 100 x Santa Ysabels coming for a quarter.

So I recently acquired some older or what appear older clay chips. These are lighter than Paulsons and BCCs from my first feel with them. I am curious if anyone might know what manufacturer these might be or if anyone has seen similar chips. I don’t know how old they are they just spoke to me so I bought them.

According to antiquegamblingchips.com , Hub mold chips were manufactured by Mason & Co., NJ. Apparently two different versions of Hub mold were made, one that looks more rectangular (like you've got here), and one with more obvious tapering/trapezoidal.
Do you know the back story on Mason & Co? When did they stop production?
Mid 50's? But then there's a note that says some of these chips may have been produced all the way into the 90's.
Hub mold chips were produced by Burt Co.

Mason & Co. did not manufacture clay chips.

BIGGEST SHOUT OUT TO @Jeevansluck. He heard that I didn't have a dealer button to my name (except the cheap one that comes with dice chips) and sent one my way. Thank you! I lived in STL a bit after the president shut down so I never got to see it in person but having a piece of STL casino culture is awesome.

Also thank you to @cgpilot and @Hornet for helping me track down some PCA $5's. Only need 10 secondary $25's to help me complete my set for a seat at my game. You guys helped me get 1/3 of the way there which is huge!
