I'd long be looking at Asconas and found a good deal at a nearby retailer, so I decided to give them a shot. Having already tried and loved the Prestiges, I was already aware of the quality. I like the design, it is very much different from anything else.

One thing that struck me though were dark non-spot-spots on the edges seen below, which I assume is overlap during printing. Not at all fan of that, and it can be seen on most of the denoms. Is this usual, or is it something worth contacting Sun-Fly about?

Not my favorite way to ship a $280 rack of chips... hopefully they are ok!

Loose in a bubble mailer inside a small flat rate.
WOW! Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I fell behind on this Pr0n thread. If those came from a PCF member, they need to be called out publicly so the rest of us know to deal with this before doing business with them.

A rack of Aztar fracs were received this way from a forum member .... I will not be "outing" them, but rest assured I was not happy. Please everyone, do NOT pack your chips like this!

That's just sheer negligence. I think you should out them as this is someone who should be avoided.

Likely at least in a box right? Maybe that one with the peanuts in it? I’m obviously not advocating chips be sent like this especially chips as lovely and pricey as those just clarifying for the people who are getting their pitchforks and search functions going.

The level of care and detail that I’ve seen put into every packaging job I’ve received has been over the top meticulous. I hope this balances everything out

Word. A private message will do wonders.

Im sure there’s still plenty I need to learn about various aspects of chipping, and I want someone to tell me when I have a booger hanging out.

Yes, was in a MFRB I believe, with some loose penuts, but plenty of room for movement. In fact, simply picking the box up off my stoop I could hear/feel the chips moving in the box. So yea, not as bad as loosely packed in an envelope with no box, but still not acceptable.

And yes, I did private message this sender, and after some defensiveness/statements to the effect of "this is how I always pack my chips and I never had this complaint" he eventually apologized (sort of) and agreed to pack better in the future. I don't think a public flogging is necessary.

That box and peanuts is a good point and makes the situation a bit better. But still, what's the going rate for a rack of Aztar fracs? $500? Anyone selling something that valuable should know better. It's just plain disrespectful to the buyer to send chips like that loose in an envelope - even if it's in a box. The way packages can be roughly handled by the postal service there's a huge chance that they arrive with nicks and scratches. Just unacceptable.

This has been my experience as well. Which is why I wouldn't even give it a second thought that someone in this forum might package chips that poorly. I'm really glad I bought quite a few things before I shipped any myself, as I had to up my game a bit after seeing what I received from others on here.

Not saying it’s acceptable or condoning it but as per @gkitt80 some people don’t know better and there’s no reason to ostracize them for being unaware of something that we all think is obvious. I’m all for pitchforks if the same member keeps doing it after having it brought to their attention and explained why that’s the incorrect method.
