Not saying it’s acceptable or condoning it but as per @gkitt80 some people don’t know better and there’s no reason to ostracize them for being unaware of something that we all think is obvious. I’m all for pitchforks if the same member keeps doing it after having it brought to their attention and explained why that’s the incorrect method.

Totally agree with this. Learning to do better, and doing better in the future, is what life is all about. This wasn't anywhere close to the first time this guy shipped/sold chips on here though, so I was a bit confused when he told me he's never once received a complaint about his shipping techniques. Meh, I won't ever buy from him again, that's enough for me.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm not willing to give someone who's on this forum that's selling $500 racks of chips the benefit of the doubt on proper shipping etiquette. In order to have purchased those chips (and likely many, many other expensive chips) they would have more than likely received well packed chips from others folks. Just my 2¢. Let's get back to some mail pr0n and less snuff photos of chip mistreatment. ;)

Similar to the Dunes $1000 incident I sold on here that had a large pressure scrape on it (wide and deep), something with a lot of pressure made contact with the package. Luckily no chips were lost and the seller was willing to replace/make restitution.

If seen that happen to bubble mailers and envelopes sometimes from getting caught on the conveyor belt.... I would hope the mail person didn't wedge it under his/her tire and peel off on it.

That box and peanuts is a good point and makes the situation a bit better. But still, what's the going rate for a rack of Aztar fracs? $500? Anyone selling something that valuable should know better. It's just plain disrespectful to the buyer to send chips like that loose in an envelope - even if it's in a box. The way packages can be roughly handled by the postal service there's a huge chance that they arrive with nicks and scratches. Just unacceptable.

I would be upset if I paid top dollar for the chips and they were shipped loose. I couldn't get a good look at the chips to see the quality, but I'm pretty sure I saw 2 racks for sale in the classifieds this week for like $100 or $200 per rack depending on if there was a typo on the listing. They sold quick as usual with something for a good price on here :)

There is no way that Aztar fracs went for 1-2 hundy per rack. If so, then someone left a lot of money on the table and didn't do their research.

They were Ameristar fracs and not Aztar fracs :banghead:
Just me being an idiot again  :ROFLMAO: either way still a good price for fracs, especially if they were $100 per rack.

A rack of Aztar fracs were received this way from a forum member .... I will not be "outing" them, but rest assured I was not happy. Please everyone, do NOT pack your chips like this!
For a seller who is dealing with higher end chips this is 100% unacceptable. Lazy and a total disregard for the safety of chips.

I should’ve done an outgoing mail photo! Got a ton sent out, folks will get all their tracking today and tomorrow.

Finally they let me pick up my stuff. Hoping that it’s mostly pokerchipforum mail pr0n, and not household goods mail pr0n.

Pray for me when I walk in the door at home with this!
