I've recently implemented this in my game, makes total sense.
Is it for the reusability of the box after? I'm still not seeing the light.

Please educate the retard in me. I consider myself a good chip packer, but I dont use the painter's tape. All the boxes I send are all destroyed with previous tapings, so I just use cheap packaging tape.

I have a dozen or so new boxes and will employ painter's tape for the new ones if people like this.

Yes for reusability. Possible to remove the tape without damaging the box

Also, IME it doesn’t take nearly anywhere as much tape as in that pic. I use just enough to make sure the box is sealed and so far there’s been no known issue with my packaging. None that I’ve been told of at least :)

Edit: ah I think the tape in the pic is wider than the tape I use. Originally thought it had been wrapped around the box multiple times.

Yep yep, 90% of the boxes I received were complete trash with like decades of shitty tape all over the boxes. I got an order with a nice looking box and blue painters tape and it all made sense.

I use zero tape on my chip boxes using stretch wrap. I actually do a layer around the chips in the bottom portion of the box before I put the top on. It holds the chips tight and keeps them from moving during shipping.

Ops, sorry to all the chipboxes I've destroyed with tape. I'm more than a bit OCD with making sure the boxes are packed tightly. In other words I use excessive amounts of packaging tape. I'll try with painters tape next time. It does indeed make sense, as long as it can still be tightly and securely packed.

I don’t think my group has reused a single brand or model of cards since November ha. Slowly working my way through the entire redneck card database! Really like the feel of these.

I was torn between trying those, and DaVinci a while ago. Ended up going with DaVinci because they are a bit more flexible and were a little cheaper. I LOVE them! But will still probably try these next. I mean, they say TEXAS right there on the Ace of Spades!!!

Love my Da Vinci too! Top 3 for me. You’ll like these ones.

Got a 600 piece bundle from BR Pro Poker.

I had samples of the Zombie Poker Tour ceramics from about a dozen years or so ago. I'm recently getting back into poker so I contacted BR Pro and ordered their 600 piece bundle for a small cash set. I always got a chuckle out of these designs and wanted to get them years ago but never did. Better late the never.

Here's a pic of my old samples:

A couple of sample barrels of a California card room chip I found came in today. Can’t seem to find any info on this, or any other denoms for that matter. Does anyone have info on this card room / chip? I have 4 barrels.

Not too sure about any other information about that place. I've only seen the $20 a few times, which is an awesome looking chip. ChipGuide also only shows that one denomination which is interesting http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=casar3&v=231739164
