These are badass. The gradient on one side turned out greatHappily minding my business at work on a beautiful remote mountaintop over an hour from home. Email chimes with a new message. It's from the office manager back in town.

Checks current status of eBay shipments. Nothing expected anytime soon. Also, puzzled by the "small box that weighs a ton". I fire back a message asking who it's from, but don't get a response until the next day as it's after business hours.
The next afternoon as I'm checking my 'morning' email I see the reply.

Either a tracking number got sucked up by a spam filter (not likely as I check my spam daily) or the number was never sent. Still, knowing a CPC box of goodies is waiting for me very nearly had me make the three hour round trip to get the box, but patience prevailed.

Proper pr0n (and a little bit of the backstory on these) to come once these get cleaned and oiled. I was already targeting next week for the first post-COVID poker night and it looks like these might get their premiere then.
In my mind, I didn't expect these for another month or two, and seeing how few SCrown orders have popped up here recently, I figured these were definitely down the road between the late order near the cutoff. I'm super tickled they're here!
The Athenian Owls proved they can fly over the Atlantic!
Most important is they found a loving home in beautiful Texas!

Normally not the right thread, but since we were talking about Owls, the current environmental disaster in Attica (huge, sweeping wildfires making thousands of people homeless) will force many of those birdies to come nest to our urban apartment balconies.

Got a mail scare past day. Waiting on a package from @cgpilot and it said it was delivered on Thursday. Came home from DiD and no package. Came home again yesterday from DiD and no package. Started to freak out. @cgpilot advised me to go to the usps and talk with them and wait on the postman. I did that this morning. The manager said she will talk to the delivery guy to locate the package. I stay home to wait for the postman and didn't go to DiD this morning. He just came by and dropped it off. They accidently delivered it to a business. He located it and picked it up. It was opened but he waited for me to verify that everything was good and left. Little excitement this morning. Thanks @cgpilot everything was good.

Beats me. I doubt it though. Every one I've ever seen was new. Back in the day of the Binion's THC tourney chips, the smallest buyins were $1000 or $1500 I think, and they gave you that amount in tournament chips. T1000 stacks with some T1 chips in them don't sound right to me, although it would be an awfully fast structure for something like 7 card stud with a minimum T5 ante at the first level off a T1000 stack.
Very special mail day. To complement my favorite chip of all time, the Paulson ACF T5K, @Windwalker kindly sent my 3rd favorite chip, the T10K, gratis from his hoard.
