The Official Royals PrOn Thread! (3 Viewers)

Has anyone relabeled the white flags as 5k and red to be 25k cranberries from aria for a tournament set? I can only see the whites as 5k from Bellagio and Aria.

I was thinking....

Green 25
Black 100
Blue (25k) as $500
Yellow 1k
White flag 5k
Red 25k
Pink 100k

So I’ve just ordered some Royals of Apache, they should be here in the next few weeks. I recently purchased this mineral oil, hopefully it’s the right one?

Just remember a little goes a really, REALLY long way. I just oiled 100 RHC Paulsons and used about 10 drops of oil total. The Royals are more forgiving if you use too much, but it's still best to err on the side of less.

Edit: I've oiled about 3000 chips with this bottle. Still looks full!

Take less is more to heart. I used WAY too much at first.
Great chips! I love my Royals!
Don't forget to post pics!

They arrived quicker than expected, very impressed so far and I haven’t even cleaned or oiled them yet. Just waiting now on my custom denoms labels.

Yeah, the packaging for shipment sometimes leaves a bit to be desired, resulting in a few broken chips. But contact Josh at Apache, and he will replace any damage chips (or at least he has for me).

You'll be amazed at the difference once you wash and oil them.

Yeah I’ll send an email off soon, only one broken chip atm.
Wash and oil them first before you contact Josh, just in case there are any hidden damaged chips. I discovered one chip in the middle of the barrel that was cracked and held together by the label. The only way I discovered it was that it flexed a little when applying the oil with a fair bit of pressure .

Ok will do, it may be sometime before I wash and oil all of them. Still waiting for labels from abc.

I just recently cleaned and washed my first 300 royals(red) after drying the white chalky residue is still on the chip, mostly in between the crown mold on the surface. Is 5hat normal, or should I wash again this time scrubbing them with an old toothbrush, or will that disappear after I oil them? Any advice would be great.

probably hard to tell with this photo, but if you zoom in on the far right you’ll see what I’m talking about.

It won't get all of the chalk off on the first round. I chose to only do a soak once and just handling/playing with them now will get the rest of the chalk off.

300 Down, 500 to go. What a difference, hopefully after drying it’ll still hold that great colour pop. Overall very impressed so far.

Hi, welcome to PCF!

I designed these labels and had them produced by Gear labels. He’s a vendor listed on the forum “marketplace vendors”
He does great work. I worked with him to make sure we didn’t break and trademark issues and such. My labels look like they have shapes, like cogs or bursts, but are actually round labels. He just matched the color of the chip to the outer edge of the label. Still looks great. Good color matching. On his section he has a list of different type of labels and laminations. You can also order a sample pack which gives you an idea of texture. I’d recommend getting one so you can feel and see the glossy vs non glossy samples.
his pricing is around $.12 per laminated, and $.10 non laminated label. Don’t forget that you have to order 2 labels per chip for both sides. Mine cost $.32 per Chip. But we’ll worth it! The only downfall is that he’s located in Canada in Toronto so the shipping might take a little longer. He’ll also design for you for a fee and he can also do exact shapes if you don’t want the fake looking shapes like mine. But that’s extra too. He can also do any size you need. Reach out to him if you have any other questions. He’s very easy to work with but busy so be patient and persistent in your PMs. Sorry for the long reply. Good luck and can wait to see what you have envisioned!
John

I'm from Detroit. I'd call Vancouver a mecca of politeness and cleanliness. Shitholes are relative.
I was only jesting. Maybe in poor taste...

I'm not from "Lower Mainland" BC. I grew up in the "Pacific Northwest". I value my small town "village" roots and just can't adapt to large cities. So I live out in the sticks..

Way out...

These look excellent. Where did you purchase your custom labels from? (I didn't see that you mentioned it)
