The Official Royals PrOn Thread! (9 Viewers)

Good luck and post picts once you finish!
Thanks for your feedback! I was playing around with some color combinations and came up with the following design. Let me know what you think. I'll also play around with the pink Royal as my nickle and see what that could look like.

I think I'd like it better if the "Splashed Pot" text was fully in that outer ring, but otherwise I like it!

@RadicusScout
I like how your design of fonts and graphics is more old school. I'm not sure how the diff colored labels will look.
ultimately choose the colors that you like and will be happy with. I like the $1 $5 and $25 colors. Play around with the lower denoms. I'm not sure what your workhorse chips are. See older posts in this thread and you'll see what other people are using for colors.

Yep. I see what you mean. I'll tweak that a bit. Thanks for that.

Thanks! The countless hours scrolling around Chip Guide has rubbed off on me, I think. ;) I appreciate all the the feedback!

I like where this is going, but not really a fan of text that wraps 80% of the chip.

I would set the splashed on the top, and Pot where Chicago is, removing the city name completely.

Just got my set of Royals yesterday and today I went about trying to clean the manufacturing "dust" off of them. The $100s and $25s went well, but then I got to the $5s....man, those are really effed up!

The top pic is after a short Dawn/cold water rinse (which is all the $100s/$25s needed), bottom pic is after I took a toothbrush to it. I would rather not have to scrub 199 more chips with a toothbrush! Any suggestions on how to get the stubborn residue off my $5s without killing my carpal-tunnel??

Hi,
I dont have an answer to your question, but one question to your posted picture.
Bottom chip is oiled, right?

Get an electric toothbrush ;-)

Have one. lol

I'm thinking more like a buffer wheel of some sort, on really slow speed. This "chalky" stuff is really stuck on my chips, I haven't seen ones as bad as mine in this thread. I got a very bad batch when it comes to the residue. :(

Maybe a bath in vinegar and baking soda...??

I’ve only sat down to remove labels three times - probably just over an hour and a half total, and I only have (40) chips finished. Yep, it still sucks. I’m clocking out of this Chinese sweat shop, makin’ a drink, and going to my family room to watch the White Sox.

That's so weird. I really don't remember them being that hard to remove. That sucks. Sorry dude.

I’ve stabbed myself twice, and almost had a bad slice.
It’s just time consuming, but I have figured out a bit of a system.

And no! Don’t apologize. These greens with the lavender are worth it to me, @chutracheese. No worries.

Why not just sell what you got and buy the blanks? The small dollar loss would be worth it to me to not have to go through THAT. ;)

It’s been a year but finally got the labels from @Gear and designed by @JeepologyOffroad onto these Royals...... Here is a couple teasers. Thanks again guys they turned out amazing, now to figure out how to oil Royals perfectly.......
