The Official Royals PrOn Thread! (4 Viewers)

@JeepologyOffroad No thank you! They turned out better than I could’ve imagined. Between covid and being a first responder, my mother, sister and brother in law getting covid, four trips to the Czech Republic for other medical reasons, and a promotion in March. I was finally able to sit down last week and say F&$@ it and got these done! Now I just my poker group to get their asses over to play with them!

I don’t know what it was about the labels on those green chips (with the light purple), but the light blue ones I just got a couple weeks ago have labels I can take off with my fingers. Maybe because they’re newer?

That being said, I still could use (50) greens with the light purple edges.

Airing out "that Smell" :ROFLMAO:

So like I was saying, the labels on the recently bought light blue Royals came off super easily, but in saying that, there’s also a light sticky residue on them now, but not on the older green chips I got from a forum member. For those of you that have done a Royale relabel, do I need to worry about this sticky residue? I have oiled them and that has helped a bit, but I still thought I would ask before actually applying my new Gear labels.

It’s been a year but finally got the labels from @Gear and designed by @JeepologyOffroad onto these Royals...... Here is a couple teasers. Thanks again guys they turned out amazing, now to figure out how to oil Royals perfectly.......
@FlopTheNuts @JeepologyOffroad

Would either of you mind if I could get the design files for these chips? Looking at doing a similar design for my royals except in cash. LOVE the shaped inlays and red denoms!!

Use your thumb to rub the residue- it should come off with just a bit of friction. Might be a bit more difficult once oiled, as it is harder to get the friction happening, but it does come off fairly quickly.

That’s how the green chips were, but these have a real sticky residue. Like they’re labeled differently. Like I need to get some Goo Gone and apply it to them.

Not sure that Goo Gone is a good idea. At the very least test it out on one chip that you don’t mind destroying.

Oh I’d rather not use it. I’m just wondering if the extra residue will interfere with the new labels I want to add, or if it would benefit me.

What is everyone using for racks that fit 20 chips in each barrel?
The racks I currently have only fit 19 :(
I use the Apache Matsui clones for storage, which have plenty of extra space. But the yellow Royals are the only ones that are tight in my 43mm racks I bought from BR Pro. They have the four suits imprint on the barrels.

The ones with the 4 suits is what I have, but can't even come close to fitting the 20th chip in there.
They do fit well in the Matsui racks. I like the Matsui for storage but when I'm using them during a game I much prefer a normal rack to give out chips/color up/etc.

Yep, that’s what I do, too. There must be slight variances, because yellow is the only one for me that gave me problems.

Yes, thanks. I know nothing about relabel projects.

The non-acetone nail polish remover helped some...

Any other suggestions, anyone?

(never doing a relabel project again)
My advice: Put the Gear label over the residue on one chip. Handle it, fondle it, shuffle it. If it doesn't bother you, it should be fine.

I have Gear labels (laminated) on some relabeled RT plastics. When I took the original label off, I saw the underlying chip was sometimes missing, like the injection molder didn't have enough plastic. They all had 3 holes on each side under the label.

My concern was that the label would feel bumpy.

I can't tell which had the missing plastic, nor can I feel the holes. These aren't cheap paper labels.

Exactly. I would just rub as much off with your thumb as possible, and call it good. I seriously doubt you will be able to tell the difference once a quality label is on there.

I love the Royals. Haven’t hosted a game in nearly 1.5 years. Can’t wait to break them out at the end of may.
