Uh, I don't know if it was this thread, or another one. But both have been named. Unless that info has been scrubbed.I’m sure friends of the two <unnamed> pre-IPO buyers from GPI got them at a deal.

So I'm new but I think I get what's going on here with the "NAGB" stuff. Are people just upset because they weren't let in on it to get profit or because they feel left out? Forgive my ignorance. I could see how it would be "scummy" to do it in secret then sell directly to the community for profit.. don't get me wrong.
Regardless of whether or not you like the chips, it's another option for people to buy and use or relabel them as a new custom set.
I think some of them look very cool, but not being in on a buy for profit doesn't bother me (obviously I wouldn't be included but that's besides the fact).
If you don't want them don't buy them, if you do, then it's a cool venture for the person that can afford to buy them. I find it all kind of interesting, regardless. Enjoy your chips fellas.

Not going to lie: doing this on one of your posts felt cathartic...That's like saying MLMs are right.
Yes, they are legal, but boy are they not right.
In the end, someone has to pay, and it ends up being the forum.
I've said it a million times. If I could Thanos every NAGB chip, I would and never care again. It's fine they are here. I actually really enjoy the people who grab a set and enjoy them. I think more people use them as a savings account and trade fodder. They are all fine chips, but what it does each time it happens is not worth the price IMO. And each time it raises a marker. Yeah, sweet. My leaded set us worth more. Woo. I'd rather everyone come here, love the hobby, grow, adventure then come here and spend a grand on clay discs.
Yeah, I'm an "idealist". My 20 year old self would beat my ass.
It feels so good, doesn't it.... Its a tiny high, each time!
Come on!! ...you know we can't have nice thingsCome on!! CHIP pr0n. Not head-dress pr0n that looks nothing like the inlay!!
You didnt sign an NDA.What did I ever do to piss you off Zaki?
Depends on your perspective. Both equate to favourable treatment to the exclusion of others.Lol. Yeah tHoSe ArE tHe SaMe....
Not even in the same zip code.

I don't know what that means. But OK. Headdresses it is.Come on!! ...you know we can't have nice things
just letting it settle down for another dozen pages or so, then maybe it will turn back into a pr0n threadI don't know what that means. But OK. Headdresses it is.
no one will ever know...Was this the inspiration for the inlay?
People previously got upset because all the chips were done in secret and then a select few got them. In addition to that memebers would sell them at a massive profit and clean house in profit. It’s a weird argument because everyone says how great Jim is, but he makes huge markups as well. The difference in my opinion is Jim sells chips at a price that allows everyone access in a public sale. The people who initiated the NAGB GB sales did neither of those things. They sold the chips at a very high price, built out lineups that would maximize price (my opinion on this one), and finally finished off by lining up the buyers willing to pay extremely high prices. To put it in perspective Jim’s HSI purchase was north of 1 million chips. I’d be surprised if this buy was 100k chips. They’re both prolly making the same ammount of money. So I'm new but I think I get what's going on here with the "NAGB" stuff. I do think that is part of the frustration, only certain people can enjoy nice things. The rest get it paraded in front of them.Come on!! ...you know we can't have nice things
[Removed]Any chance we might know how many were made?
If the experience that David Spragg has been through and shared with us in great detail has taught us anything, it's that the kind of money being thrown around here is not enough to fund new colors, new molds, and new formulas - at least, not through CPC.One last thought. If the money being thrown around here could somehow be invested into CPC or a new company, we could have a fantasy chip making machine because new colors, molds, and formulas could certainly be developed with this type of money being used for “good”.
I think the original post is deleted, so I'm gonna have to reply here and say I'm not sure If you are joking but if you aren't in my most fake Aussie accent possible, @horseshoez wtf c*nt lol.View attachment 830160
