I'm glad I was able to grab a set of these. :) After I get the PCF chips made, I will have 5 tourney sets. :o (BCC GCRs, Paulson GCRs, Stardust, CPS, and PCF)

I better make more room. I just added an extra shelf the other day for the Paulson GCRs that are in transit.

That's a hell of a collection. Nicely done.

At first I was kicking myself for sitting out this group buy, after reading the CT thread I'm kind of glad I did now...

there is a totally pain-free way of getting the chips, however - just buy them from Josh at Apache. i think he said he's pulling his order page this evening, though, so get on it if you're inclined: link.

I can't wait to put together one of those schnazzy-looking Day 5 chipstacks with my set when it arrives.

That's my plan too! I got my smallest denomination as the 1k chip for that reason!

Just noticed someone made this thread a sticky, yaaay, thanks guys!

Nice collection, and thanks for posting this pic. I'm unfortunately still in the planning portions of my basement refinish, but one of the design aspects I'm looking at is incorporating either a chip display case or shelves into the walk up bar. I've been debating what would be the ideal way of displaying the chips - showing all the chip faces or showing the chip edges to highlight the colors. I've been leaning towards the latter but this shot may have changed my mind.

BTW what are the chips on the second shelf up from the bottom on the middle right side, between the PNYs and Stardusts?

/end threadjack.

Sahara Cash set.

Wow...is that all actual Terrible's sh!t that you've found online or have you customized some ordinary stuff? Either way that's pretty cool.

Tommy you are out of control. does your wife mind having to use Terrible's toilet paper at home?

All online. I wanted the Terrible's Gas Pump that sat on top of a bank of slot machines but it was way out of my price range. I'll try not to de-rail this thread anymore.
The thread below should explain why I go to Terrible's Anonymous.

Post #82 is my favorite. (I have 4 of them) and post #95 is current minus my vegas door pulls that I have not displayed yet. I also have some Terrible's stuff on the wall too.

Every time I see that yellow (1000) I just want to "slow-clap"......... :)

I really think that's the only one that they really missed the mark on.

They seem a lot lighter and that the edge spot colors should contrast a bit more. They still look great and I'm excited as frig to get'em. I wanna see dem cash chips.

Maybe the plastic on them and the lighting is causing them to look lighter. :/

I totally disagree. I know where these chip factory colors initially started (they were incredibly beyond horrible), and what great lengths it took to get them to this point (well beyond acceptable). Considering what they ~could~ have delivered (and would have, with PGI's premature approval), I couldn't be more pleased with how the T1000 chips turned out.

Paulson canary yellow cannot be duplicated using china clay materials, at least not by any Chinese plastics factory I've seen products from so far.

I'm more concerned with the almond color, will it be too close to yellow? Have we seen any pictures of the almond chips yet? I ordered a cash set with almond $1 and yellow $20. I have a backup plan, added $25 dollar chips just to be safe but would prefer to use yellow $20.

So I bit the bullet and added on another 100 chips from Josh @ Apache, here's my new breakdown of chips:

(200) 100K Lavender
(200) 25K Dark Green
(200) 5K Orange
(200) 1K Yellow
(125) 500 Blue
(150) 100 Black
(150) 25 Green
(25) Pink Bounty

1,250 total chips.

This is what I was getting at....BG just said it better. ;)

So far the only one that looks "off" to me is the Bounty chip, but even then, I'm fine with it.

Take a look at the photo of the orange close up. You can tell the plastic wrapping is changing the color of the chip. I strongly suspect this is due to lighting. We might not know how these things look until we get them in person. So far though, I don't see anything worth causing concern. They look fantastic!

2700 of these are coming my way!

Joe posted a picture of the chips in ChipCo trays and it happens to include both the yellow and the almond chips. Might give you an idea about potential problems.

those orange and black are gonna pop in stacks. The yellow with some oiling I think

So very sad that I'm waiting for the blanks on the next shipment. Though by then we'll know how they take oil. I'll be expecting before/after grandgnu... :)

additional updates from the blue wall:

we ordered a limited amount of blanks and spare labels- we will be doing custom labels for those who want custom chips- we didnt order alot of blanks - we wanted to see how the chip sold- but we can order blanks if theres a demand for this chip- as far as resellers there are two- apache- and us- and we have been deferring all new sales to apache since Josh stepped up to the plate and made this GB happen so we felt he should receive all sales inquiries for awhile. right now we have just opened all chip boxes of shipment #1 and have found some issues that were just clarified by the factory- the first order was to be tournament and cash chips- the 2nd shipment was a small order of blanks and labels- now were finding out we do NOT have all of the tournament and cash chips- which they told us were on the first shipment- so now we have to wait for the remaining chips to arrive in order to ship everyone's orders out. FORTUNATELY we did receive some of ALL denominations in both cash and tournament chips we we began shipping yesterday and orders are en route-

we did work out some details with Tttubby so the dealer button artwork will be posted today and we will be offering dealer buttons and chipco chip trays as addons at a special price for those who are original participants in this GB in addition to filling custom chip orders for those who ordered blanks for their customs sets.

a few asked about the chipco trays- we aquired the tray molds when we bought the assets of chipco so this tray is the real deal. made in USA right here- a few doors down from PGI.

We are all working hard to get these orders filled. We are hoping to receive the second shipment by the 21st. UGGG... I know ya'll didn't want to hear that! Blame the manufacture and customs!! The chips are with customs now. It's finally happening!

By the way.... this is Kim at PGI

So what do you think any issues with yellow/almond on the table at the same time?

Never happen with the tourney set. I also don't think the cash set chips will be much of a problem in pots, since they have different color labels. And in stacks, a bit of oil on the yellow $20 will make those purple spots pop to the point they won't get lost in almond $1 stacks.

I was lucky to get one of the UPS shipping notices. 30lbs of T&S (tower and spear) goodness to be delivered on Monday. I will have to work from home in the afternoon.

Oh, I don't know. Upcoming tourney planned for these babies and at T2,500,000 folks are getting both the T1000 and T250,000 right from the start. Starting stack's got 100 chips per player. Of course, I'm not always conventional, so flay me open if you want. (This is a super deep stack event with starting blinds 1000-2000. Assuming a player treads water, should still have 100 big blinds at two hour mark. Woo hoo!)

So jealous. Tourney coming! Hoping I get mine in time!!!

Okay, I take it back. :) In fact, I just looked up a T3M single-table structure I created just for this chip set, and it has starting stacks consisting of T1000, T5000, T25000, T100000, and T250000 chips. So they WiLL be 'on the table' at the same time, but still pretty damn unlikely to be 'in play' in pots during the same hand.

20 x T1000
16 x T5000
16 x T25K
15 x T100K
4 x T250K
-------------
71 chips = 3,000,000

Blind levels are 20-minutes, and start at 3000/6000 (500BB). Players still have an average of 100BB at the end of two hours. Tournament is designed to last six hours total play time (plus breaks).

latest update from big blue regarding the selection process for getting shipments out:

There really is no method to the madness! Because we did not receive the full order of the tournament and cash chips, we shipped smaller orders first. We were able to get about 56 packages out today.

So I'm guessing my 1200 chips doesn't count as a smaller order. Those of you who have received notices of shipping, how many chips did you get?
