Question though: I will preface this by saying that I absolutely love my China clay Pharoahs and will probably never part with them. But why can't they print without the silver tint to their inlays?

We tried like hell to get true white inlays with the BLGOP group buy chips, but the factory was unwilling and/or unable to comply with our request. I suspect it has everything to do with the printing process used, and they are locked into what the equipment can provide.

On a positive note, those labels cost next-to-nothing to produce -- we were quoted three-tenths of a cent per label (so just over half a penny per chip). They weren't doing them for free, so who knows how low the true cost is for those things. But very, very low.

If anyone needs T1MILLION and T100K chips, PM me. I'm not going to use those.

I plan to ordering ceramic oversize 43mm 100,000 and 250,000 chips, along with oversize 46mm 500,000 chips -- just like the real set. :) Will probably get a few T1M chips, too.

Mine are in... UPS opens at 8:30 AM and I will be there bright and early... shipping says 27 pounds.. that's a workout for someone ready to use them this Friday !!

A couple of birdcage pics from the cell before I hit the hay.............

I'm sleeping with these tonight even if they say no.

I can't believe that these are finally here. :)

I also can't believe that they aren't HERE. :(

Holy hell, indeed. I guess that's what happens when you print half a million of something.

Shameless plug, hopefully not out of line: I print my labels on vinyl that is truly white, although not for 0.3 cents each, sadly.

Tri-tto!!!

Yup...[emoji22]

Also, even without having the chips in hand, I think I am prepared to say the GB was a huuuuuuuuge success, at least from the customers perspective.

Looking back at the original samples I would never guess the chips would look this awesome and I am sure I'm not alone there... Those chips are going to be THE standard for WSOP tribute (customs aside)... T25, T500, T1K, T5K and T100K pushed the boundaries of China Clay colors beyond what I though possible, at least they photograph like Paulsons...

The mold and the cross-hatching are looking spectacular, also pushing the boundaries for CC...

To all those involved, from the original GB to now: You made history gentleman... Thank you...

Totally This ^^^ BUT I just paid my invoice, so I'm ready...............now!!! GO! :)
I hope my 4100 chips are ok across the 2 shipments, hopefully they're all still from one "run"

nitzilla

Looks like I was short 25 T250k chips. :(

I hope my 3000 chips are ok across the 2 shipments, hopefully they're all still from one "run"

Same here!!! That's why I thought it'd make more sense shipping the larger orders first... I'm cool how it was done but the opposite way would have lowered the chances of having two production batches in one larger order... Maybe there's an even better argument for shipping the smaller orders first, I am just not aware of it...

btw, fyp...

There is - as a business, one unhappy customer with 4000 chips is still much better than five unhappy customers with 4000 chips.

I do have some fears about this - Joe said that they received nearly 300,000 chips. I'm pretty positive they haven't shipped anything close to that amount (the vast majority of us would have our chips or shipping notices by now - obviously that isn't the case.) So, if they have a bunch of chips left that haven't shipped, the limiting factor must be certain denoms which were more limited in the first run and they ran out of much more quickly. Thus, I expect most of us that will be receiving chips later will be receiving mainly chips from the first run, with a denom or two where quantities were made up in the second run. I hope I'm wrong, and they actually made them all at the same time and just had to stagger the shipping for whatever reason...

That was my exact thought Ben... And the fact that there would be many more of us posting pics and comments about the chips... Sound business reasoning imo...

Agreed 100%... And I hope you're wrong also and it's just a matter of shipping logistics... Don't have the production/shipping details and to be honest, I rather not... It's a done deal and I just want to see my CHIPES!!!

my thoughts as well. My logic would have been to keep the good customers happy, those who ordered right away, or ordered the most. First come first serve, etc... Larger orders being shipping complete, Thus reducing the likelihood of mixed batches. But I wasn't in charge, lol

beautiful fucking splashed pot pics Tommy, ty! I can't frigging wait for mine, hopefully they'll arrive in time for my birthday

I knew mine would be delayed when they said all of the blanks were on the second shipment, as I ordered extra blanks to have on hand. Apache also said they were going to be filling orders before the second shipment arrives so I assume they were shipped a boatload of chips out of this first shipment. I have no problem how it has all played out especially since the GB would not have happened without Apache anyway. Mine may have an even longer delay as I may be out of the country when the next round of orders will be shipped so I may have to call PGI and tell them to hold mine until I get back.

Just a tip.. get the wrappers off the chips and into the trash ASAP before you get cancer from the fumes.

So here is my ( haven't thought through it all that much so don't get mad at me 1st impression) The chips looks awesome.. cross hatching is spot on and overall after some oil these are ready to go... I did a side by side to my Dunes set and really the only thing and I mean only negative these chips have would be the sound.... Its dull, almost quiet compared to the Dunes china clays.. I am putting these into use on Friday..maybe after some cleaning and oil and use they will get better but for what we paid you can beat them and the effort that went into them does not go unnoticed. I wonder does the cross hatching effect the sound? Most likely not in the least. I like then thinner look and it is my hope over an extended period of play they well have a bit more kick to them when they shuffle. Time will tell. Worth the wait ? You bet your ass. Happy ? Absolutely ... I'm anxious to get my players feedback and curious to what everyone else thinks too. If these could or over time could sound like the Dunes set these could quite possibly be a set for the ages.. even if they don't I am proud to have been lucky to get a set in hand.

I got all my chips today. Out of the 950 ordered only one was broken (a 5k chip) so I count myself lucky. I'll eventually have to see about getting a replacement as I hate not having even racks.

In terms of the chips they look great. Feel great. Not Paulson like but definitely remind me of my Milano's which I thought were a pretty nice chip for the money. I did notice that the red 500k and the dark green 25k chips are a little bit taller in then all the other denominations. All the other denoms fit in the chipco 66.7 racks perfectly but the 25k and especially the 500k are a bit too tight to fit. I can force the 25k chips but the 500k there is no way without damaging the chips. Overall the height difference is negligible in my mind and no where near as bad as the milano's or anything were. From the 500k to the rest of the chips a barrel is maybe a 1/4 of a chip higher.

I'd give these a 9 out of 10. I am extremely happy with the chips!

My Milano 1K broke in a similar fashion. If all of the pieces fit together nicely, use a thin bead of krazy glue (not gel) to put it back together. Mine broke 2 years ago, and I shuffle the sample set fairly regularly. So far, it's solid.

I wouldn't ever bother gluing the China clay, just buy another one. :)

I noticed that the chips are retaining the odor from the plastic wrap or the chips just have an odor themselves. In any case, I cleaned 10 of them with soap and water and the smell was gone. I suggest cleaning them first before oiling them.
