Joe has confirmed he's expecting arrival tomorrow on the blue wall. Josh from Apache also just posted this:

I just received my shipment. I have everything but t500 & t1000. If you did not order those your order will ship tomorrow.

Unfortunately my add-on with him does include some 500's so looks like I'll be waiting.

latest update on the blue wall from Joe, bit disappointing, le sigh. But, better than being kept in the dark

extended customs exam on the container- were just an lcl or less then container order so from what our broker told us the container was cleared just waiting on an arrival notice from our trucking company now- customs sucks

So here's my review.

The Positive:

+ They're beautiful. The chips, the labels. All of them.
+ They stack great, and all are dead even in height with a few exceptions (see negatives)
+ They sounds great. Clacky like Pharaoh's but lighter.
+ 500s/100s and .25/$5 are very easily distinguished. Unlikely dirty stack issues.
+ They shuffle very nicely. They just need break through those first two or three shuffles
+ I didn't notice much of a smell
+ They fit in my generic racks nicely in barrels of 20. No other chips could fit in. Blue 500 fit snugly.

The Negative

- Covered in gross China dust (ez to clean - standard)
- the slightly smaller/uneven stacks of pink quarters (1/4 of a chip in a barrel) and blue $500s (even less than 1/4 of a chip per barrel). Not a significant difference and barely impacts stacking.
- a few labels appeared to be coming off. I just pressed them back on and it's resolved for now
- a few labels seem off center.
- a little slippery but not like Nexgen chips
- weight is a little inconsistent ranging from 8.4 - 9g.

Overall I love them and can't wait till the customs fairy is done of his SnG and give up the rest of my tourney chips.

I find a more accurate method of getting weights that light is to weight 10-20 and average. Granted, my digi scale probably isn't as advanced as yours. Mine will register single chips, but I don't find it accurate with so little on it.

from a distance in the racks they really do look like well worn casino paulsons etc.

thats really the only true drawback for me on these and why I sold them is the none-sharp edges. I just cant do it anymore with CCs.

I was thinking the same thing. Some closeups show more dramatic edge chamfering than others but I can see how that may bother some.

I think this would be less accurate since you're using the average, but a great method if you don't have a sketchy drug scale. ;)

I noticed on mine that the more beveled ones (5 out of 9 tourney chips) were not as tight in racks. Not sure why some denominations were more beveled than others.

+1,000,000 to this......... :(
Just found out my next home game will be Feb 7th, I really hope they are here by then!! :o

nitzilla

I hear that! My next game is the 30th and my b-day is the 2nd. I'm guessing I won't see them in time for my next game. I guess that's alright since I'll need to wash and then oil 1200 chips, so kinda works out so I don't feel rushed to get it completed. But man I wanted to put those puppies into play!

Latest update from Joe @ the blue wall

the chips were released from the container and landed in jacksonville- just waiting on our trucking

heres how it works- we get an arrival notice- the chips enter port- our trucking company gives us an eta to pick up and deliver ASSUMING theres no complictions. when you ship whats call an lcl you share a container- so if part of the container has to go through an exam your lcl order is held up- now if they do an extensive exam it takes even longer- once the exams are done the goods are released from customs and we have to get our trucking company to pick up the order. so: we get an arrival notice- then we get an exam complete cleared customs notice- then theyre sent to wherever theyre going- in our case jacksonville- then we get notice theyre in jaclsonville- then we figure 2-3 days for the trucking company to pick em up and deliver- its impossible to pin it down exactly until we get the order in jacksonville and are issued a cleared customs notice- then we have a few days to get the order otherwise we incur additional storage fees.

So it looks like they'll get the shipment in sometime in the middle or late next week, then begin putting orders together. I'd expect them to start shipping late next week or early the week after, but that's just me guestimating and it's not direct from Joe so nothing I say really means anything, just typing out loud

Isn't the vendor supplying updates to this forum? I thot PGI was a sponsor here.

The PGI account had last posted in October of 2013 and then recently came back and made a post on the 21st of this month, but that's it. They aren't very active here, don't think they've realized the shift in enthusiasts (despite being notified by multiple people)

It might simply be to keep questions and answers contained to one site or thread. This GB started at CT, so it makes sense that anyone involved in it would still check the thread out there.

Any clue on when they'll be arriving at Apache?

Josh got his main shipment early last week with the exception of T500 & T1000 chips, so any orders with those chips will go out once he gets his second shipment.

Just a few notes after playing with these in our 1st tourney ... The only negative we got was how close the 100 and 500 look like one another when betting.. it seems that there were a few occasions where it was tough for dealers and players alike to mistake the two..... FYI.. otherwise they played well and folks really enjoyed them.....glad to have finally broken them in..pics to follow soon

as promised some tourney pics for your viewing pleasure ! CPSSET3.jpgCPSSETS1.jpgCPSSET3.jpgCPS5.JPG

I really don't want to be one of those people constantly saying "I can't wait for these to arrive". I know some of you have been waiting longer than I have - though by just 1 day.
Signed up on Chiptalk JUST so I could say: Put me down for 800!

#141Poker Zombie, Dec 19, 2012

It took me waaaay longer than it should have, to find my very first CT post.

I also want to add...

NOBODY WARNED ME HOW MUCH THESE "800" CHIPS WERE GOING TO ACTUALLY COST ME!!!

So how how much does 1650 CPS chips weigh in lbs.?

Received a shipping notice yesterday but thought it was for 16 racks and a few dealer buttons but the weight doesn't make sense... I'm starting to get excited but...
