Any recommendations from you guys regarding chip size for the prestige chips (I will order blanks and get labels for a semi custom set)?

option A: all 39mm
option B: 39mm and 43mm for the higher denoms
option C: all 43mm

Are the 43mm version really so much different (handle/feel) as I am have read in some threads?

Maybe the designer @p5woody can give you some advises on combination?

Yea probably. I'm moving to Turkey for a year soon and don't want to take my Matsuis with me so they're staying in Cali. The prestige will be my main set while deployed

Aww man. We’ll get a tournament going when you get back fro deployment

Some have said that the advantage of 43mm chips (with the 25mm inlay) is that there is more contact surface area between chips when stacked, which increases friction/reduces slipperiness.

400pcs 43mm chips can perfectly fit in our standard box, I wouldn't recommend adding 2 more DBs in the same box since it will result in shape change of the box. We would like to keep the boxes flat while many of them will be stacked together for long distance transportation.
390 chips and 2 DBs would be good?

Damn! I think I may actually do this. Samples on the way, being loaned out from another member. Emailed with Sun-Fly yesterday and it sounds like they can do what I wanted for customization. This really isn't what I was thinking when I joined here a month ago looking for ONE set of poker chips. This forum is a DISEASE!!!

I'll post up proofs once I've ordered.

Didn't bother with semi-customization - I like the design and denominations just as they are. Will likely use the white chip as a 25K. The other extra chips, the Salmon, the nickel, the bounty and the $20 were just because I like the chips and wanted to have them and because my OCD kicked in and 1200 seemed like the right number.

OK - so the dealer buttons are 60mm, but will they be the same thickness as the BR Pro Poker DBs, which are about 5.6mm? Or will they be thin like the Scrub Donkey DBs were?

I'm actually listening to Stevie Ray's 'Texas Flood' right now.

These are the standard oversize 60mm x 5.5mm dealer buttons found all over the forum. BRPro uses the Sun-Fly blanks.

Hmmmm.... thinking about grabbing a small STT set, any thoughts on this color lineup?

I would consider either switching the lemon chip with the yellow chip or switching out the salmon 5k with the white to avoid dirty stack issues with the lemon and the salmon. You may also have the same issues with the turquoise and the black chip since the base of the former shares a very similar color with the splash of the latter.

The 5k I could probably swap out, but I really like the turquoise chip. Trying to go with a monochromatic look, the edges have a good amount of base color, which is why I was hoping this would work, but I was worried about dirty stacks with the 25 & 100. Dunno... :wtf:

Yep, gotta get the Torquoise and Salmon involved. Also love the Purple, not sure if it creates a dirty stack with the Fuschia, think its borderline.

Payment arranged yesterday ... digital proof came just in!

Moritz will be the name of our boy whose birth is scheduled for middle/end of July. After thinking of a custom CPC / semicustom BR Pro Poker set first, this group buy came up. (thanks to @p5woody for some great input and putting me in this direction). Looking forward to this set :p

Fuchsia/turquoise and lemon should look together for the cash set (purple might be in the same color scheme as fuchsia, but I think they are different enough ... and there will not be that many purple chips in play).

Thank you @SteveHNo96 for giving me inspiration (your 13$ chip from the DDLM set) on the red chip. 14 was my jersey number (and also that of my wife), so I thought this is worth a special chip :)

Tourney set has standard colors - Iliked the colors pretty much, so no need of changing anythin there. Bounty/Show' em were pciked form the remaining available colors (but I love these as well).

Great story and lineups. Need to add a white Rebuy chip in there.

That actually is a pretty neat story, man. I'm glad I had some inspiration on something for you =)

The color variability in the different photos, proofs, mock-ups, etc is pretty wide. Some are almost electric-looking. Others are rather muted (for the same chip). Which is it? What is the truest representation of the colors?

I'm considering getting a set of these for use at the local Eagles club, where I host a monthly game. Those guys couldn't care less about ceramic vs. plastic vs. clay -- but they would think it was neat to have the name of the club on the chips. LOL.

Having a tough time deciding on the colors though.
Perhaps my favorite chip in the lot is the blue $1. I'm almost tempted to go purple frac, blue $1, red $5 and yellow $20, in the original line-up. But I also love the green/yellow chip enough to make it a frac, and am tempted by the white $1. Tough choices.

But I think the crew at the club would love these, and what an inexpensive option for them!
