Fonts can be changed, but since our designer Ringo is crazily busy at this moment generating proofs for all the GB orders along with some other projects that we are developing, she doesn't have time to find a font that fits your requirement. It'd be better if you could send us the font you like when you place the order then she'll use it directly while generating your proof.

So as was suggested, I did receive a set of Sun-Fly samples today. 43mm Boardwalk chips. I love the feel of the face of these chips. Very nice texture, somewhat reminiscent of a clay chip. Attractive inlay. Nice sound when riffling them together. Cool chips. Makes me want to own some, except for one thing...
Any reason why the edges don't have the same texture as the face of the chip? They look and feel as if they have a plastic film on them. They're very slippery. Even with a small stack of 8 chips, it's very difficult to pick up the stack without leaving the bottom chip behind. When I put a 43mm Royal on the bottom, I have no problem picking the entire stack up. This one single characteristic of these chips makes me not sure that I want to buy a set.
That's quite different from my 43mm Union Station Sunfly samples; there's no texture on them and I'm pretty sure they are Pollyinno. I'm guessing the Boardwalk's are not?
The boardwalk was one of the chips that was recommended to me. And I can see from the closeup edge photos of Prestige chips that they look exactly the same. She how the light reflects off the edges in the photos in posts 207 & 208? Very plastic-y looking.
Yes, those also look just like my US set. This post confirms that the US and OS sets were Polyinno. Mine have no texture on them at all. They are very smooth.

I think this is something down to personal preference, most of our chips are done in the way with textured(matte) faces and smooth rolling edge.
I think what we're trying to clear up here is whether a Polyinno is a Polyinno, and that there's no "texture" difference between the Union Station, Boardwalk, and Pretige chips. When @TX_Golf_N_Poker mentions "texture" on the chip face I think this:

No, the boardwalk does not have crosshatching like on that borgata chip. It's a smooth matte finish, but it's not slippery and plastic-y like the edges. All Sun-Fly chips have glossy rolling edges; it is their 'signature' trademark in the ceramic chip world. True for all products -- polychrom, polyclay, and polyinno.
Some are more glossy than others, but they are all glossy. Some people don't like the characteristic; others don't really care. Personally, I'd prefer a matte-finish rolling edge, but so far, it's not been a dealbreaker (the Prestige chips will be my fourth hybrid set). Of my three sets, the Boardwalks were the most glossy. I suspect it depends on how old the mold is, and the glossiness produced decreases with extended mold use.
It is my understanding that a custom-order matte-finish rolling edge mold for 43mm chips could be ordered for around $4000. I"ve been holding off until I can combine it with a custom 43mm hybrid/polyclay mold, likely with star markings.

So you are saying if the customer buys the mold they need, then they will make matte edge chips? Seems like if they make custom chips, they should offer both and let the customer choose...
Anyway, I suppose if the stack of chips were on a padded poker table, it wouldn't be as much of an issue as it is here on my hard desk top. I just moved the stack to a mouse pad, and if I focus, I can pick up the whole stack, most of the time. The bottom chip still drops once in a while. Just seems like the goal for most non-clay poker chips is to emulate clay if possible, and this smooth, slippery edge seems to defeat that purpose. There must be some advantage to it that I'm just not seeing.
I suspect they just think it's pretty and distinctive. It sets their brand apart from the others. And many ceramic chip customers probably agree.

It's not a slight difference on this Boardwalk chip. It's a night and day difference. The only other ceramic chips that I've handled are the Bud Jones chips in the pics below:OK, so I think we're on the same page now. The Bud Jones are the same matte finish on the entire chip. (not counting the insert) It's a little smoother than the Sun-Fly, but not much. I like the Sun-Fly face feel better. But I hate the edges.

Currently we don't have a mold with matte-finish rolling edge, I think this is because most of our casino customers require the glossy edge rather than matte finish.
For the current PRESTIGE group buy, we are not going to be able to offer matte finish rolling edge option since getting a new mold built, tested and ready for production requires at least a month.
I'll keep an eye on the demands though, if a lot of members want this kind of edge finish, we can do it for the future GB.
Bud Jones chips are injection-molded plastic, not printed, and not ceramic. And the rolling edges are machined and polished.
Thanks for replying. I'm so new to this hobby and still have a lot to learn. So when you say that your casino customers request this glossy edge, may I ask what are the advantages of it, over a matte edge?
