I agree, these dogs just eat, need to be played with, taken for walks, and bitch when someone is outside. Let's not forget the ridiculous cost of food, vet care, daycare, meds, and squeaky toys. These freeloaders should at least do my taxes or something to earn their keep. Even kids can do some chores......

Not just Taylor Swift. Anything nice is just ridiculous now including chips, but the average, ok, or crappy stuff aren’t skyrocketing in price.

I paid $50 back a year ago and was like $60 2-3 years ago. I was planning to pay up to $100 and that’s a stretch for me and this…

1998 Bellagio $5s and up got so expensive like 3-5x higher than what it was worth before COVID. Yeah get what we want now than get later for paying few times more.

Supply and demand.

Cheap chips haven't had much price increase because there are millions, if not billions of cheap chips sitting on shelves (and probably still being produced). Quality chips (like the leaded Dunes you posted from a not demolished casino) are limited in supply.

Meanwhile the amount of money in the average American household is fae greater than it was 10 years ago. 10 years ago we were still close to the Great Recession. Propaganda "News" organizations were claiming the president was going to drive us back into the recession. Rates were low and the Fed pumped money into the economy. 12 years (and 2 presidents later, the interest rates remained near/at zero. People stopped going to work because they had so much cash.

Then COVID hit. The government dumped even more money into the economy as people who held jobs had to stay home. Mortgages were frozen. Money was good. There was even a freeze on student loans.

The result - an explosion in inflation. We have more money than ever before in the economy. If you have a product or a skill that is in demand, you can charge record numbers for it. If your only product or skill is on the level of dice chips, you're screwed.

It's a division of economy. Maybe it's bullsh*t, maybe it's not. It is however, the way of the capitalist.
