Are you getting signed rejection letters from the seller? That’s the way to ensure the seller has seen your offer. If you are getting those then the agent is passing your offers to the seller and your offers just aren’t sufficient.

That's a damned good idea. But just have never seen them do it that way over here. By law agents are required to present all offers, but I have never seen proof that has happened. Interesting. Not sure how to make them do it.
Is that the law? I doubt it, but I honestly have no idea; I haven’t sold real estate in a long time. Probably the law varies from state to state and country to country. But as a seller, I’d be really annoyed if I had to sign a letter every time I wanted to refuse an offer.
When you see some nice chips posted here at a reasonable price that go unsold for weeks or months them someone else sells the same exact chips within days for 2- 3x the price.
The Mitsui, Bud Jones amd similar chips I speak of are not uncommon usually in the 75c-1.50c per chip range then someone lists them for $3 and they sell.
What are these sellers and buyers on?

Gotta agree. Confusing for someone newer like me trying to dial in values. Maybe inexperienced buyers?
Related and also BS, sales with no international shipping. Though they probably have their reasons it still sucks. Then if trying to use a commercial reshipper the min cost to Australia seems to be about US$35 I think for a batch of singles. Chip-blocked!

...which is why you should have a meetup. Then you can have items shipped to each North American member attending and have them mule your chips. Meetup day becomes new friends + Christmas!
I've done that a few times. Sending multiple orders to one place sure saves on shipping price.

Somebody in US lists a rack, shipping CONUS $9 - we all know you can stick a rack in a small flat rate box for $9 to go anywhere in the U.S.
Somebody replies “how much to ship to New Guinea?”
I have no idea. Why would I know that? But now you’re asking me to do extra work (to figure out the price) so that if you approve of the crazy $45 whatever shipping charges, to do even more extra work (different forms, customs forms, looking up how to categorize them on the customs forms - oh and a lot of buyers will ask the seller to lie about the chips value on the customs forms; that’s probably a crime) so I can stress over those chips for the extra 3 weeks or so they will take to arrive at their destination, if they haven’t been trashed or stolen by some foreign carrier or customs agent.

lol, I wish this wasn’t completely true and accurate. I hate not shipping internationally but this is exactly why I don’t.
Oh I still do ship internationally. I just like to complain loudly about it.

Internal anguish at cost of chips. I don't think I'm cut out for this hobby. Have seen so many racks I want. Some of them I really really want to buy, must have them. But I just can't justify the cost, is killing me. I have the money, that's not the problem. But I don't truly 'need' the chips since I already have my set for the home game. But to have five racks of Paris $1s... so pretty. Aaaaaarg.

Well I'm a hypocrite because I have 100% bought from international sellers, so add people who will buy, but don't want to sell internationally to the bullshit list.
I've shipped internationally several times. It's no big deal. You get their address you use one of the online shipping apps, and you've got a price for them within 5 minutes. As long as the buyer is willing to take the risk for loss or damage, then there's no reason for anyone not to ship internationally. You can even use the USPS shipping materials and boxes . So I agree with those who say it's BS.
That's an easy button also. Just say no.

I'll be the first to admit that I ask international reshippers to underdeclare my packages. Not because I mind paying the 10% GST + import fees, but because the one time I tried doing the right thing (my first international chipping package too!), I was treated like a criminal by border security and they completely wrecked my package. To add insult to injury, they also sent me the wrong package after they were done with it and left me on delivered for weeks on end. Then they told me I had to pay customs taxes on both packages, one of which was not mine, or had my name on it.
So I no longer bother and just hope they don't pick my package for random inspections. So yeah, put me on your "do not sell" list if you have an issue I suppose.

I can look up shipping fees and fill out a customs form faster than it took you to write that, it’s not a big deal. I do understand people in the US being lazy about it, when they mostly can find buyers nationally. However, some seem to think it’s a completely different process with almost insurmountable obstacles. Granted, I’ve never shipped from the US, and maybe the USPS does everything in its power to make it as difficult as possible, but I kind of doubt it.
I’m one of those who politely asks for a lower value declaration. I happen to think it’s bullshit paying import fees on privately sold used items. I have no issue paying it on a CPC set. There it makes sense. And of course when I’m doing the selling, I’m happy to declare less myself. If it’s a crime, it’s a pretty damn victimless one. Uncomfortable? Just say no.

Probably I’m just grumpy because I don’t care for them, but the Boston baked beans thing is really stupid. I feel like nobody cares and that it certainly isn’t a thing that Bostonians actually take pride in. But I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been served stupid little cups of mushy beans as a sad excuse for a side dish way too often. I don’t get it.

Three of these are spot on. Two I've never tried in their original location, so I will take you word for it. But Texas Chili? I have to ask where did you try the Texas Chili? If it was in a restaurant, then I totally understand including it on the list. I've never had truly good Texas Chili in a restaurant. The only place to get real Texas Chili is at a Texas chili cook off. Or in someone's home.
I'll have to figure out a way to bring some of my Texas Chili to a meetup that we attend together. If you don't like my Texas Chili, then you don't have taste buds.
