Things That Are Bullsh*t (9 Viewers)

My guys are not wearing PPE currently. We have sneeze guards, but really? That will not really stop it. I requested this time off for the NCAA tourney (cancelled). But I return to work next week. I am expecting some grief from some very ignorant people (mainly the public) when I return. I don't care, I will wear my mask anyway. It will also protect a lot of elderly, immunocompromised people as well should I have it and I am asymptomatic.

*I should state that I have had this mask for a few years due to some gnarly fires we had, didn't rush out to buy one or anything...

We implemented a formal mask/glove/separation policy today at work (in accordance with the GA Governor's Executive Order yesterday), in addition to moving all customer interactions to curb-side service in the parking lot (no customers allowed in the facility). All protective and sanitation items currently being used by our workers had already been in our possession for months, if not years.

Do what you need to do to remain as safe as possible, and fuck what anybody else thinks. Pleasing the ignorant concerns of others won't pay for your medical bills or funeral costs.
 
Building a section 8 housing apartment building in DC with 200 men on the job. Zero sanitizer, zero precautions for personal saftey in anyway... we are all using the same tools, working in the same spaces, touching the same hands rails... the list goes on and on... so why are we essential? Why is this little building in the middle of the low end of town so important??? The answer is simple... it's not important! Essential simply = exchangable for construction workers!

All of our supervisors are "working from home" our place of business is a ghost town... they will survive this... those of us that are left may keep a job... those who don't... they will call the union hall and get replacements... the show must go on I guess.

But please don't kid yourselves... we are NOT essential again just simply replaceable

Sad but true. In Scotland all construction work was stopped a couple of weeks ago but it’s still going on down the road in England. Crazy.
I’d tell your bosses I was symptomatic and have to self isolate for a couple of weeks. Fuck them.
 
Thank my great buddy Mr. @BonScot for that one! After he told me I needed to use this picture for my avitar I looked up Brian Blessed and he is a giant beast!! Insanely halarious and I haven't found anything with his commentary or TV appearances that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed!! He is know for his part in Flash! But he is truly an amazing individual! GORDON IS ALIVE????

Very tempting but the problem is our government is only covering us for 2 weeks of pay... I think we are all trying to hold out and save it incase we need it!! In our nasty situation it is a matter of when the virus strikes... not if... so we will need those 2 weeks when we all get this nasty little bastard!! I'm hoping maybe my owner will send a get well soon email to the employees that catch it... but I doubt it.

I’m not going down the politics route but two weeks is pretty shite if you’re unlucky enough to catch it. Our government is paying 80% of wages (capped at £2,500 per month) for the next 3 months (at least) to anyone whose job has been affected as a result of the virus. It’s made a huge difference to me as I’ve got 7 employees and it takes the pressure off having to find wages from somewhere for the next few months.
