I took a shot and bought my son a Pokemon box for Christmas. Local hobby shop owner talked me into getting it, it was their last one. Pokemon Center - Paldea Evolved trainer box ? (I don’t know anything about them TBH - lol)

The last pack of cards, my son pulls the grail card of the set that he’s wanted for a long time “Magic Carp”! He’s to the moon right now!!

It was awesome, pretty exciting! I can kinda see how people get into it - lol.

After posting in jbutler's Things that are Bullshit thread, I spent the next 15 minutes muttering over how this thing or that thing was bullshit (milk going sour before expiration, back pain, going for one last sip of coffee only to find out you're empty, and whoever emptied the pot couldn't take the time to make new coffee). Normally I just get over it, but after that thread, everything was burning me to the core.

So to counterbalance, I give you the Things that make me Happy thread.

I'll start with:

• Invoices from CPC
• That "heavy for it's size" MFR Box on your doorstep
• When the first cars arrive on a poker night

There's much more, but I'll let your brains stew on the happy for a while...

Took my 18yr old here today. He smoked my ass !! 3 races, on the pro difficulty level, he finished 1st, 2nd, and 1st. Let’s not talk about my finishing position.

It is. It was really cool, and the racing is great. Each race is 5 minutes though, and you can do a 3 race pack or 5 race pack. For 2 of us, 3 races was about $45. I hear during F1 season, it’s packed. All-in-all, I’d go again and get the 5 race pack
